Virgil was settling into things. His job at the comic shop was going well. He finally didn't feel like a sponge, or leech, or other mooching thing when it came to money, Oliver having it, and him borrowing it. He could pay his own way, and he hadn't lost it yet. His paycheck wasn't nearly as big as the Arrow's, but it was his. He was feeling pretty good about himself, and on his way back to the apartments after his long six hour shift. To a kid his age, that was like an eternity. Even at a comic shop. The day had been fun and productive. He got to host a video game tournament for a super hero based MMO. Kicked some major ass, and got to help a cute girl create an avatar. Not a bad day at all.
There was a bag of comics and other game promos in it dangling in his left hand and a soda in his right as the complex came into his sight. He was relieved. It was a six block walk back and fourth. Stopping for a minute to shuffle things around to get his keys out he noticed movement and something shiny chrome like caught his attention.
"Cool bike." He always wanted to drive, as silly as it was with his powers and what not. Driving was like a teenage right of passage. But he was only fifteen and all to young. Without his parent around he wouldn't be getting his permit any time soon, but he grinned in a friendly way. "I've always wanted to drive one."
