WHO: Gwen Raiden and Elle Bishop
WHAT: Two electric girls meet
WHEN: Afternoon
WHERE: Elle's motel
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In progress

Gwen had to admit, she was intrigued. She'd never met another electric person like her before. And even if Elle's powers were slightly different- the brief conversation had told her that much already- it was still closer than anything she'd known before.

Besides, she had a couple of hours before she was due on stage at the club, she figured she might as well check her out.

She was dressed in her usual fashion, skin tight red leather, with long black silk gloves and black leather trench coat, keeping much of her deadly skin covered up. It still drew attention as she sauntered down the street, people's gazes following her as she strode past them.

Sometimes, just sometimes, it was awesome being her.

It didn't take her long to find the motel, lounging around the reception as they phoned Elle's room to let her know there was someone to see her.

Elle had not been doing so well since she had gotten here. She hadn't even been here long, but everything was hard for her. She was alive again and it had been easier when she wasn't. Gabriel wasn't here, and if he did come, there was no way to know if he'd kill her again. Whatever they were to each other was the closest thing to real love that Elle Bishop had ever had, and she mourned the loss.

She was curious when she found out about Gwen, and angry when she found out about Veronica. Who did that little girl think she was accusing Elle of being a demon? Elle was a lot of things, a villain, a freak, an orphan, but she was most certainly not a demon. She hadn't meant to offend anyone but she had so much built up anger. Sam had calmed her enough that she would not go after Veronica, but it hadn't been an easy feat for him.

Now, she just felt empty and alone, or she had until Gwen had come along. She was excited about meeting the other electric girl. It was nice that someone was...sort of like her, though Gwen seemed to be a lot more sane than Elle was. Still, they were alike, and that was something.

She threw on a pair of jeans and a blue halter top. Her gunshot wound had been gone since before she got here, and her head wound too. The emotional scars though, those would probably never heal. Elle was very much a broken girl, a discarded toy, she didn't even know what she wanted in life thanks to her father. Angela Petrelli had once told her to get a life, and she didn't even know where to begin.

She walked to the lobby when she heard she had a guest, and greeted Gwen. The much taller woman was very pretty and had a sassy look about her. Elle liked it. "Hey." She greeted her, not really sure what to say. Elle hadn't really ever had friends, besides maybe Matt Nuremberg, but he was long dead and he was used for company purposes. She didn't know how to not use people, it was so ingrained in her.

Gwen smirked lazily in greeting, the lights in the lobby flaring for a moment. "Hey," she returned before glancing at the receptionist. "You might want to get your wiring looked at, cherry."

It was hard not to laugh as the freaked out woman immediately grabbed the phone book and started looking up electricians.

"So you're Elle, huh?" She took a moment to look at the blonde. She certainly looked like the perky blonde type. In another life maybe even a cheerleader or something equally as bouncy. If life hadn't dealt her the freak card, like Gwen herself. It was interesting how much of a bitch fate could be.

"I noticed a bar down the street, you fancy a drink?" Tips had been good at the club and Gwen had more than enough cash right then as she grinned. "I'm buying."

What Gwen said to the receptionist and what the lady did after certainly amused Elle too, and she couldn't help but let out a giggle. She'd been sheltered her whole life and she hadn't felt this way since she was with Gabriel, it was nice to smile and pretend like she was fine.

"Yep, I'm Elle." She told the other girl with a nod. Elle was living proof that things were not always what they appeared to be. She was dangerous, she'd been told that her whole life. She was a killer too, even if she hadn't killed anyone lately.

She froze up a little though at Gwen's question. "I've...never really been in that kind of social situation before." She made a face. "Are you sure it's safe? Last thing they needed was to like...kill someone or something.

"You've never been for drinks at a bar?" Gwen clarified, with an arched eyebrow before she shook her head slightly. "Okay, now you're definitely coming out. I've got a few hours before I'm due at work."

She stood up confidently, adjusting her gloves and her coat.

"It'll be perfectly safe. Unless some guy decides to get all touchy feely with me, but hey, that's his own fault," she shrugged. "Besides, that's what the leather's for, to keep their hands off me."

She tilted her head to one side slightly with a small smile. "It's just a drink, nothing too scary."

"No. I lived in the company building since I was 8, aside from assignments and stuff when I was a company girl." It had been normal to Elle, she hadn't even considered going out on her own then. "I've never even been on a date and I've never been swimming either." She shrugged. It wasn't embarrassing or anything, she'd just been pretty sheltered.

"I don't know what to wear." She said almost helplessly. She had never had a friend before, so this was a little awkward. She and Gwen weren't friends yet of course, but the possibility intrigued Elle enough for her to give it a try. She suspected that next to Gwen in her hot leather, she looked terrible. Maybe she was that ugly friend. Hot girls always wanted to have an ugly friend so they looked hotter, maybe that was why Gwen wanted to have a drink with her.

"I don't think any guy would be stupid enough to mess with you." She pointed out. Gwen looked like she would be a fighter, for sure. Still she didn't know know about this whole bar thing...what if there were demons there or if something happened?

"Okay, I can share the dating thing and I only swim in private pools, but still, never going to a bar?" Gwen frowned. "That's just not right."

It was an odd thought, but then Gwen had lived the opposite life it seemed, no one had really paid attention to her or cared what she did. On the one hand, yay freedom, on the other it would have been nice if someone other than Lindsey had ever cared if she lived or died. Even a little bit.

"What you've got on is fine." Jeans and a halter top, couldn't go much wrong with that. Add in the cute blondness and Elle seemed good to go.

"Oh you'd be surprised," she rolled her eyes with a goodnatured smirk. "Men are pigs. But then I work at a strip club these days so it's possible I only see the worst ones."

Elle shrugged again. This was pretty much her life, she'd never really done anything that interesting. She didn't have that kind of luxury, at least not when she'd been a company girl. "Never even been on a roller coaster either." Though she kind of doubted Gwen had, due to the electrical equipment used to run them.

"You're just saying that so guys will notice you more." Elle teased. She wasn't too interested in hooking up, and when she'd flirted with Logan earlier she hadn't really been serious. The only guy she wanted was Gabriel, the man that had killed her.

"You work at a strip club?" Elle was shocked, she wondered how that even worked.

Gwen wrinkled her nose. She didn't even like roller coasters, let alone tried going on one with the possible exploding and killing lots and lots of people. Bad plan all around.

She smirked at the comment, both amused and rueful. "Doesn't exactly make much difference, they can notice all the like, it's not like they can actually do anything." Not that she hated the attention. She wore skin tight leather for several reasons after all.

"I do," she nodded. "Left school with no qualifications to my name so I worked as a dancer back in LA. Stripping and stealing, it's all I know. And I can get around the powers thing fairly easily. Two words," she grinned wickedly. "Liquid latex. Paint it on, let it dry and I'm covered."

"That's true." Elle said. Trying something with Gwen could be very dangerous to a guy's health. Really, trying something with either of them because Elle could just as easily snap as Gwen could try shocking them. They were both pretty lethal.

"That works?" Elle asked surprised. She was glad that she didn't have to resort to such methods. "Have you ever thought of learning to control it, so you're not so...electric?" It was a thought, but Elle had no idea if hers worked the same.

"It works enough," Gwen nodded. "Keeps me insulated so I don't spark out. Means I can't feel all that much, but it works enough for work."

Control. The one thing she'd worked for all her life. Risked her life to help her get it and none of it worked.

"I can't," she answered, shortly. "Tried everything, medical, technology, magic, mental training. Nothing's ever worked." She forced a smirk. "I'm just untouchable."

"Yeah, besides they shouldn't be touching you anyway." Elle said. Wasn't there some kind of rule? She hadn't gone to a strip club but she was almost certain there was a rule about that.

Elle frowned, feeling a little sad for Gwen. Elle didn't know what she would do if she couldn't touch someone. "I'm sorry." She told the other girl, wishing there was some way that she could help. Elle's power worked differently than Gwen's, she guessed.

"Let's go." She said, not wanting to dwell on this anymore.
