Kahlan didn't really notice the boy until he spoke, she was decidedly more focused on the men in front of her with the weapons. She didn't want to come to their world if that was what had happened, and start confessing. She would if she had to but it would be a last resort. It wasn't entirely making sense to her, those things that looked like weapons. But in their defence she supposed she was brandishing a sword. A very large sword, and dressed in a leather dress she supposed they didn't know what she was. Or who. Which was unusual.
"I apologise. I'll sheath the sword. Are they against your laws"
Kahlan wouldn't be arrested, But these officers were suspecting her Also she was drawing a crowd which didn't help matters.
"No. I don't believe I am" she answered, tone wary as she assessed the situation worriedly. "Can you tell me what this place is and what these men, who I'm sure are just doing their jobs, are pointing at me. In fact you could go ahead and confirm my suspicion that its nothing good."
She turned her attention back to the guards who were edging closer. Closer and closer. "I'm willing to put the weapon away, will that help matters. I didn't know it was illegal and I'm not supposed to be here you see. I was brought here I believe." The guards looked suprised at the reaction, not used to crazy women in parks brandishing swords, let alone one that reacted so, well, pleasently to having guns pointed at her
