Supermarkets had this pesky thing of not being open past midnight. It was ridiculous. Completely un-vigilante friendly. Some were horrible and even had the nerve to close at 10 P.M. Honestly. Who closed at 10 P.M. these days? It wasn't as if it was too much of a inconveniance. To be fair, Andrea was more of an afternoon sleeper, rather than a morning or a night sleeper. That is when she got some shut-eye at all. However, it was a thought that occurred to her while she waited impatiently to reach the cashier. A thought that had been something like, Life would be easier for her if they'd open later. That way she wouldn't have to deal with this saturday morning nonesense, just because she'd run out of her favorite breakfast cereal. And she'd ran with it.
She'd run with it quite and had been considering bothering Lois or Danny about it. Except where Lois would give her one of her many, 'I talk to crazy people'-which Andrea didn't think was fair since she was pretty sure that she was the only sane one of all her friends-and Danny would look amused. Best to bother Clark, because he might actually take it seriously. Which was half the fun.
Andrea chuckled into her bag and thought for the umpteenth time about needing a new hobby outside of Clark-baiting. It was definitely chance that she looked up and managed not to ram into the blonde guy standing just off the street-corner. Ramming into people was bad. Just standing off the street-corner like that wasn't any better for his health either. She gave him a strange look and was about to go off her merry way, when while giving him a strange look, her eyes picked up on something. Something that had her heart stopping and her eyes widening. It ... no friggin way! There was no way. Except in Lawrence, Kansas, there actually was. There always seemed to be some way something insane would happen. Lately it was horrible. So many horrible things had been happening because of Glory and Drusilla. Things seemed to be getting worse. It'd been a mantra, a repeated reassurance to herself, that good things tended to happen in this place as well. If she believed in praying, she would have said that hers had been answered.
Why was some random blonde guy standing off in street-corner a good thing? One would think that it was a neutral thing. Completely mundane. Or maybe even crazy, given what he was holding. Andrea took the time to recognize and accept the fact her life had become crazy enough that the first thought that entered her head was, 'Holy mierda! A real keyblade!!!!' and not 'Huh. Pretty awesome replica!'. It'd been a while since she'd played the first game. However, she just knew upon looking at that face, taking in the stance and the blonde hair, all of it with that keyblade, she just knew who it was. It took her a while to remember that now she was the one standing there, where people could ram into her. Not to mention she probably looked like a gaping idiot. But at least she was on the sidewalk.
Taking a deep breath and killing the smile that was tugging around her features, Andrea walked up to him and said, "Hi!" Okay. Not the most intelligent thing ever. And she really had to keep herself from grinning. But it was difficult. She was excited! She loved Kingdom Hearts. "You should probably get onto the sidewalk." She advised, pointing to where he was standing and then to where she was standing. "Chances of you getting run over where you're currently standing are slim but there are still chances." Was she lecturing Riku? Shut up mouth and think brain! "Welcome to Lawrence, Kansas." She added. Instead of just jumping in with this being anothe world. Because she was 99.4% sure that it was Riku. Nevertheless, you could never be too careful.
