"There's not much to do around here." He wasn't lying. Bobby's place was like that one rock in the middle of the desert. It was large enough to provide you shade if you were smart about using it, but it was pretty boring and didn't do much by way of keeping you satisfied. The shelter in the storm of the heat. That's kind of what it had always been to Sam and Dean. They'd come here for the worst of the worst, use Bobby and his infinite resources, right along with that amazing panic room he had built over a 'free weekend'. Sam had to admit, the guy knew how to keep a place safe. The panic room in itself was, without a doubt, the most interesting room here. The rest of it...eh. If Sam felt like reading, he'd dig into some of the old texts. But even then it didn't have the same effect on him as it used to, seeing as Chloe had worked at putting most of the information he'd had onto a single computer. She had shown Sam how to access the information from his laptop at any location, so now Sam didn't have to constantly harass Bobby over borrowing his books for research. Research, lately, being his curiosity getting the better of him. Sam usually read things that held no relevance to what was going on around him at the time. He liked being prepared for the future.
"Been here for as long as I can remember," Sam said, nodding toward the cars. They didn't seem to be moving anytime soon. Sam could still recognize some of them from his earlier visits this year, while a few here and there seemed to be newer. Or maybe Sam just couldn't tell one car from the other because he didn't much care about auto stuff in general. "I just needed some air," he explained, shrugging. "Can talk to the others anytime I want. All day. During training." He laughed a little. Another tense one. "You said something about a key?"
