She was having a great time, really she was, but occasionally being in close quarters with people left her needing time to clear her thoughts. In instances such as these she was sometimes reminded of the overcrowded houses where the humans has lived in during the Year that Wasn't. And while she had done her best to purge her memory of such events, she knew it would never completely occur.
She'd just needed some time to herself. Yes her muscles ached and she was almost certain she looked a fright, but she was out. The grounds were a salvage yard with cars piled up taller than she was. Unlike inside it was quiet, or quieter. She'd just been walking rather aimlessly, her hand wrapped around the TARDIS key in her pocket - wishing to feel the familiar pulse that the key often held when it was in the same universe as the TARDIS. But it was no go. There was nothing to be done. Admittedly she was enjoying the training thus far but it was very difficult. She'd at least been adapting rather well.
She didn't even realize that there was someone else there until she heard the voice and looked up from her surroundings. She was surprised, to her it was as if he'd come out of nowhere. But he'd been there the whole time. "Oh. Sam. Hullo." She shook her head slightly, trying to get rid of any remaining surprise. "Sorry, didn't see you... or anything for that matter. Was getting a bit crowded inside..."’
