There wasn't, Arthur had to admit, a lot of places he could go and not hide. A lot of effort had been put in to stay visible while making every conceivable effort not to bump into anyone he knew. Apologizing to Morgana did not mean he wished to see her, and Gwen was still strangely disappointed in him from what he could tell, and he resolutely was not going to think about Merlin. At all. Which was why Arthur had taken up exploring. There wasn't a great amount to do in this town, though the entire place made him uncomfortable and alert in ways he didn't care much to think on.
Mostly, he stayed inside and explored the building he now lived in. Thirst drove his feet toward the kitchen and while he hadn't expected it to be empty, it was open to the entire building, he still drew up short in the door, brow furrowing at the jumble of parts on the table.
