"Yeah, well." Sam tightened the screws just a bit more, then gave the hook a bit of a tug with a hand to make sure that it was secure. The trap complete itself after a bit more chalk was added to the ceiling - it was a pretty strong trap, too. Sam knew Ruby wouldn't have been able to squeeze out of it even if her life depended on it. Not that it did. Not when he was with her. When he was satisfied, Sam hopped off the stool and dragged it out of the trap, setting it along the side and out of the way for the time being. Who knew? Maybe they'd find reason to make use of it later. Reaching for the collar of his shirt, Sam unbuttoned it and shrugged it off. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt underneath - something that he knew wouldn't last for too long once they got started. Turning to face Ruby, Sam looked down at her and smirked.
Sam moved to kneel down beside her, reaching for the chains with a hand. "Trust me. The start might be obvious, but I think you'll be surprised once we begin." Dropping the chains onto the floor beside himself, Sam pressed a palm to her cheek and leaned in toward Ruby with a smile. "I'm gonna take good care of you, Ruby. I promise." With that, he willed himself to kiss her. It was a gentle kiss. Something easy to start them off and assure her that everything was going to be fine. Not because she was chained up, but because this was the first time that they had been together like this in a long while. And, to add on to that very fact, it was the first time he had so much as kissed her in ages. It felt nice. Her soft lips against his own; he had missed the way it felt, just being able to cross that line with her. Demon or not, she was still Ruby. And Sam loved her.
