“As long as you’re with me there’s nothing to worry about. You keep me grounded. You keep me safe, don’t you know that yet?” she told him, just drinking in the closeness of him as he made her feel like there was nothing else she could want in all of the world.. He really was amazing, in every way she knew. She had to admit it left her feeling a little bereft when he pulled away having told her what he wanted. But only a little bit, he’d gotten that look in his eyes and Ruby was already his, so completely. The way he talked to her when they were together like this, that look in his eyes, oh yeah, this evening was going somewhere special. She moved to the bag taking the two lengths of chair and walking a vaguely respectable distance behind him ready to bind herself to the roof, and it appeared, inside a trap. Oh it wasn’t finished yet. But that didn't matter. Nothing mattered but Sam, and how she was going to do his bidding, make him happy. Repay him in another small way for all that she’d done to make him hurt, all of her lies.
Looking at it all though, It was a strange scene, a devils trap. Unfinished and painted on the room, while a woman in a long white dress cut sinfully high at the leg holding chains. She looked for all the world like a sacrificial virgin and of course she was neither. She watched him, the chains being passed to him as and when she needed to, as he fixed the whole thing into place
“You’re really going all out” she said in awe, she was going to be trapped in so many ways and she loved the idea of each and every one of them. “Where do you want me? Or are we going for the obvious start” she said, laughing and eager to get underway. She sat down at the edge of the trap, dress flowing against her legs, and waited for an order.
