Damn, he had almost forgotten about the white dress. Ever so slightly, the corners of his mouth twitched upward at the mere sight of her. He didn't need to say it out loud to tell Ruby how he was feeling; the look on his face in itself showed that he was more than appreciative of the outfit that she was wearing now. Sam had learned that Ruby liked to hear these sorts of things come from him, however, so he stepped toward her a bit, let that small smile of his grow a little more, and said, "You look amazing." It was true. She really did. He couldn't help but stare at Ruby in awe briefly before catching himself. His gaze quickly turned toward the opposite side of the room and he gestured for Ruby to step inside. "Impress someone? Yeah." He grinned. "Sort of. There's this girl. I was hoping to seduce her." Sam pushed the door shut, reaching up to lock it as soon as he did. They didn't need any unwanted intrusions. "What do you think?"
Sam didn't give her time to answer. Instead, he moved forward and located the glass of wine that he had poured for her. "Here." Picking up his own, Sam rejoined Ruby at the other side of the room and offered it to her. He wasn't exactly a wine expert, but this brand was pretty good. A nice red. He didn't think Ruby would hate it. "I think...we should sit down. For a few minutes. Do you mind?" He had something that he wanted to get off his chest before they went any further than this. It would probably be better if he did.
