Seeley was getting annoyed. Fast. Demons, seals, ghosts, aliens, and vampires. None of that stuff was real, everyone talked about it like it was. Like he'd entered the damn twilight zone and there was no way out. Fucking Kansas. He seriously wondered if he was losing it. Maybe this was all going to turn out to be some sort of crazy dream. He'd wake up in the Jeffersonian on Bones' couch in her office. That couch was so comfortable. Booth missed that couch. He missed the squints, but he'd never admit it. He always claimed they weren't human, and if he started to think like they were something was defiantly wrong. He wasn't ready to accept that.
Ordering cup of coffee when the waitress came around in a black mini skirt he offered a charming smile. "Thanks. Apple pie?" Pie made everything better. She nodded. "Of coarse." And Booth leaned back in a chair, maybe not everything was so bad.
His eyes closed. He couldn't believe he had to pick up a new cellphone in all this chaos. What happened if Bones tried to call? He didn't understand why his calls wouldn't go through. But it sort of made sense. Everything else had gone to hell, so why would he be able to do something as simple as make a phone call?
