He couldn't help but to smile. Part of him wanted to tell her everything, but the other was hesitant. He knew it would freak her out just like it had Zoey, or at least he assumed he knew. He didn't want to lose her already. She was one of the few things that made the place suck less and without her it would be even more uncomfortable.
"One of my teammates showed up. " He frowned. He should have been happy to see her, but in all honesty the feelings were mixed. She was a couple years behind him, Bart was still alive. Their Bart. And frankly Tim hadn't exactly dealt with his death himself. It wasn't the bat way. When emotions came up, they shoved them back down with distractions and training, or bickering rather than dealing. So Tim was struggling to cope without them. Maybe he'd hit the gym later. His fingers laced with hers and he walked by her side. There were coffee shops that weren't to far from where they were staying, so they wouldn't have to take the red bird this time. Save it for a later adventure. "Do you like starbucks hot chocolate? Or do you want something less trendy."
