Sam could feel her reacting to his touch. The demon inside did not recoil away from him out of fear or anger. No, she was pressing in closer to him. Wrapping his senses up in her. Nothing but her. It was so different, being able to touch her this way. There was nothing physical about it. It was all what he felt on the inside - right down to his very soul, Sam could feel Ruby's presence twisting against him and Sam honestly felt that this was the closest that he had ever been with anyone in his entire life. This was exactly what he had been craving ever since Ruby had told him of her plans, breaking them away from their former relationship stance roughly. Now they were getting back on track. Not quickly, nor as strongly, but it was getting there. All it would do was take some time. And if that time included moments like this, Sam felt that he'd be okay with working through it again. Ruby would be right there with him. They could - and hopefully would - do this. The right way.
Sam didn't let go. Why would he? He was strong now. He had enough strength to keep his grip up on her for quite some time yet. It was actually sort of amazing, wasn't it? He felt so strong, yet so weak at the same time. She made him feel weak in the knees to the point where he was grateful that they were already sitting down. If not, he feared that he'd end up falling over.
"I wish I could always feel you like this," Sam said quietly, burying a hand into her hair. He leaned in closer, pressing his chin to the top of her head as he focused. "It makes me feel..." He brushed his cheek against her hair, brow furrowing slightly. "Like nothing else matters. 'Cause I've got you."
