Once she closed her eyes, Sam reached out and pushed some of that dark hair out of her face. His fingers gently brushed against her skin, reminding him just as to how much time he had spent longing for the feel of her. Now he had it. Not entirely, but this was a very good place to start. Holding her alone was more than enough to make his heart beat wildly in his chest. Knowing that she was right there, pulled up against him, he wondered if she was able to feel it. Just how crazy she really made him feel. Even though he knew that she wouldn't be able to see him do so, Sam smiled a little. This was right. Her in his arms, him sinking into the feel of the blood rushing through his system. There was not a single thing in the world that Sam could think of doing that would ever be better than this.
Keeping his hand at the side of her face, Sam licked some of the blood from his mouth before he willed himself to focus. His senses spread out, pushing past his own mind and burrowing into the smaller body that he held in his arms. Almost at once, Sam felt her. That dark essence, buried away inside of the body he held. That darkness was her and he immediately grabbed onto it. Just as he had done the first time he'd attempted to seek the demon out back in that old warehouse, Sam said, somewhat quietly, "There you are."
