Andrea nodded briefly before re-opening the bottle of purple nail polish, and she didn't even bother to looking up as she passed the brush over her pinky toe. "It wounds me that you think so. Or it would. If I was out to impress anyone." Who said that she was? Why should she be? "Some people like to enjoy quiet nights in. I'm one of those people." It wasn't that Andrea didn't like to go out or even get away. She did that and could likely spend evenings out having fun-could, though to be honest she hadn't done it much lately other than the few times when Faith invited her-but in the end it would always be that quiet night at home that would call to her. Even more than just walking in the night air and getting lost in the city. "Reading books. Watching DVDs. Listening to music. I happen to think it's very interesting." Her tone wasn't defensive. Just simply stating her facts.
Andrea quirked a brow. "Don't push it." Was all she said. There was a mix of exasperation and amusement in her tone. Because really? She knew him enough to know that he would take it as a challenge. Maybe. She couldn't completely put her finger on his attitude. Andrea was pretty sure that she had it figured out, in general, what was important to know and be wary of. ... for the most part. Because he-not often-did have this tendency of turning what she thought she had figured out about him on it's head. Which could be said for anyone: People were surprising. However, for the most part, people were predictable enough. Spike had this habit, she had yet to decide if it was annoying or more than a little intriguing, of making her take ten steps back and reasses. While the chances of him not taking it as a challenge to make a nuisance of himself were very, very low the chance that he honestly wouldn't-and thus ended up surprising her ... again-she was discovering was significant enough.
