Spike is the big bad vampire with a soul. ([info]blondie_bear) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
It seemed to be a slow night for more than just Andrea. Spike had given swinging by some of his usual local spots (those local spots being bars), but it had not panned out so well. The places were dead. No one to play cards with; no one to hustle for money. It was boring. So boring, in fact, that he suddenly felt the urge to return to the apartment complex early for the first time in...well, ever. Because, quite honestly, he couldn't stand the place most of the time. The people there, while different, didn't seem interesting enough for him to bother giving them the time of day. All save for a special handful, one of which he felt oddly compelled to visit upon his entry within the building. Usually he'd contact her first. They didn't do the social thing beyond what they were doing now. What they were doing? It was sex. Casual sex. No emotional involvement, no need to get tied down into one of those relationships that Spike seemed to be terrible at. It was good and it was healthy and he enjoyed it. Calling ahead, however, at this hour? Couldn't be done. So he decided to just show up and see if she wanted to shag. If not the shagging, then...something else. Something not boring.

Tailing his way to Andrea's place, Spike gave her door a knock. He could have gone in if he had wanted. He'd gotten the invite before - that was all he had needed. But he didn't want to piss her off more than usual. Or maybe he did? He wasn't quite sure yet. All he knew was that he was knocking. To either save the annoyance for a moment where she didn't expect it or to actually attempt being polite. He wasn't sure yet, but he'd figure it out as soon as he saw her. That much was guaranteed.

Once the door swung open, Spike raised a brow and smirked. "Not out saving damsels?" He had half expected no one to answer. What with her being a special snowflake of a 'vigilante', Spike didn't know when he was supposed to see her around.
