Ruby stepped into the cafe after Buffy thinking through her words. She wasn't against her, but she wasn't able to trust her. Which was entirely fair, after what she did she didn't expect to be trusted. But whatever Buffy had with Dean whatever it was. It was important in its own way.
"It might not effect Sam, but it will Dean. He listens to you, trusts you. And no, I'm not asking you to change his mind. But if you can see it, then maybe someday he can too. I spent a whole lot of time trying to pull Sam away from him because that bond. That was the one thing I couldn't ever fight against. Thats what had to break if he was going to go on the path properly. If he was doing to kill Lilith for me. He couldn't have Dean in his life to stop him. The point with Sam and Dean is....you fall in love with one, you take both on. Kinda a package Deal in a lot of ways, and Dean...things he's done, I don't know how to forgive him for yet. And I bet he feels the same way"
She walked to one of the tables and considered her order. She was in the mood for tea. A kind of tea. Possibly green. She felt like random healthy was a plan. She passed the coffee menu to Buffy and tried to explain herself further. "Sam and me, we'll figure it out. There's a lot I need to know about being a girlfriend, and you can help me with that if you're willing. But its not just that, I've figured out there's more to being with him than sorting the 'us' part out. I need to be better for him. A better person, and you, you're a hero. a real live hero, and I thought maybe you could help me out. Tell me how to do that? Or how to start. Can you?"
