It was interesting how he inserted the planet they were on. Mina didn't mention anything about that, not wanting to put a foot wrong after only just arriving. Plus it could make Jacen uncomfortable, and when he had been kind enough to come help her, she didn't want to put him off.
Mina listened closely as he explained what was going on. They were dealing with demons in this world, much like the ones she had struggled against in hers, but she figured they couldn't be fought in quite the same way. "Well, I do hope I can lend aid in some way. I wouldn't exactly make the best fighter." That was only half a lie. If she consumed her blood and unleashed her true vampiric nature, she could see and be an excellent fighter, but she was too chaotic and held no allegiances when she was a vampire. She wasn't going to tell anyone about this secret if she could get away with it. "It does seem like that would be very bad news if Lucifer was set free. Do you fight or do you keep out of the fray?" She was relatively unphased by the news they had to fight demons here. Very little phased Mina these days, after all the horrors she had gone through in her life. The worst one of all was holding her son in her arms as he died. She would have been the one to take his life if he hadn't reminded her about how he was her last link to the life she had lost long ago. Her last link to her beloved Jonathan.
She followed him as they walked, her hand on his arm keeping a light yet firm grip. Her steps were cautious as she didn't have her cane and couldn't tell if there was a curb or any minor obstruction in her path. She had faith that Jacen wouldn't let her trip over anything, but she hated the helpless feeling and not being able to fully do things by herself.
"If it's not far, why waste the money?" She didn't want to impose herself upon his kindness too much. "So does that mean you have a job?" She now began to grow concerned with getting money, and clothes, but she was limited to only a small amount of jobs given her disability. She could try putting on a concert, but in this world, no one knew who she was, and it would undoubtedly be nearly impossible to get people to back a concert for someone who was unknown.
