The grin she flashed him was decidedly predatory as she swung the board up across her back, tightening the carry strap, "Last one on the ground's a rotten egg." She said before bolting, slinging her backpack up to one shoulder as she ran. She wasn't quite a blur, but it was close, she moved fluidly, almost like a striking snake. She was up and over the edge of the roof with the same ease, ping-ponging her way down the side of the building between balcony railings and the fire escape, she wasn't too worried about making noise, she'd done this nearly silently before, and was doing just as well when she wasn't worried about it.
Finally reaching the end of the fire escape she just used the extending ladder to get all the way to the ground, stepping off and letting it spring back up again with a clang, all but sauntering her way to the edge of the grid. It was mostly made up of chain link laid flat, though it was pinned down along the edges with other scrap metal, and had a few pieces at random in the middle, made of old washing machine frames.
