Couple of losers? He didn't know whether or not he was supposed to be amused or puzzled. Did she often go around insulting herself or was she just joking around? Usually it was easy enough for Tony to pick out, but when a beautiful woman went around calling herself 'an Ugly', he couldn't help but question the situation. Shrugging, he turned and moved to join her. Hoisting himself up into the space beside Shay, Tony clasped his hands together and leaned forward.
As she explained her situation to him, he went from confused to downright amazed. Tony would have even laughed at her explanation; the only thing containing his amusement was the severity of the situation. Being plugged into a bunch of people at the same time was no joke. After all, he had experienced the same thing once before himself. Quite recently, in fact. "I've never had anything like that plugged into me...literally. But I did - the Dollhouse. The place I was stuck in before I got here. I got out before that. And I guess they weren't too big on letting their former army ranked Dolls go. I was kidnapped and they sort of..." He put a hand to the side of his head, indicating that they'd done some work on him. "Plugged in. To a bunch of other soldiers. We could see each other all the time. Knew what was going on. Eventually I lost everything. Forgot who I was, forgot what I cared about. We were literally one and the same and the only goal we had in mind was whatever the Dollhouse told us to do."
He did laugh for real when Shay expressed that she had slept in a tree, however. "That's a little out there for me, I have to admit."
