She shrugged, hoisting herself up to sit on top of the AC box, patting the spot beside her, "C'mere, have a seat, might as well be comfortable if we're going to hang out on the roof like a couple losers." There was a small amount of amusement in her tone, more at herself than anything, because she was like that.
She shrugged at the question, "Because everyone is. I mean, maybe not quite as much as I've got, but close, everybody's got a connection to the city interface, which is sort of like the internet here, and my ... well, my clique, the Cutters, we've got skintenna contact." She traced a thumb along her jaw, "Micro-mic here connected to a speaker in the ear." She tapped her ear to indicate, "We can hear each other breathing, ear each other talk even if it's just a whisper, we're like one entity just with a few different parts."
She shook her head, "So sleeping in pods and doing everything together? That's my kind of normal. Well, sleeping in trees mostly, we were built to survive out in the wild, I sleep up here sometimes, start to get twitchy if I'm inside too long."
