The year is 2019. Somewhere in Seattle, Max AKA X5-452 is dealing with the backlash of escaping Manticore with the help of some friends. However, this story isn’t about Max. There is no talk of Logan Cale or the other X5’s who escaped from Manticore in 2005. The story here is about a group of X6’s in New Orleans that are a part of a rogue branch of Manticore run by Colonel Murray.
In 2012, Colonel Murray, in charge of a group of X6’s since their creation, broke off from Manticore and went on the run. He took with him his group of X6’s (X6-343, X6-355, X6-376, X6-381, X6-397, X6-412, X6-420, X6-425, X6-439, X6-500, X6-573, X6-738), along with several specimens from the other X-Series, as well as what are known as “anomalies.” With these X-Series specimens, Colonel Murray also managed to convince several staff members (including assistant doctor in charge Dr. Marianne Braddock and Director of Operations in the Psy Ops department Agent Douglas Bourdain) to join him in his escape with technology, and classified files. He took what he stole with the help of his soldiers and fellow traitors and started up his own rogue branch of Manticore. The location is believed to be on the outskirts of New Orleans, Louisiana.
In the year 2015, while on a mission to assassinate the head of Cyber Tech Corporation, six of Murray’s X6 Series transgenics (X6-343, X6-397, X6-425, X6-439, X6-573, X6-738) abandoned their posts and went M.I.A., escaping in the same way that the twelve X-5 transgenics escaped from the Seattle-based Manticore. It wasn’t until 2018 that they were located and their leader, X6-343 who went by the name of Aidan in the outside world, gave himself up so the others could escape.
It is now 2019, and both Manticore and Murray are trying to track down the remaining escapees, while Manticore also wishes to shut down Murray’s operation permanently.
