Those familiar with Lili will know what I'm looking for.
She is a pure, innocent, and frightfully naive young woman (16-22) from the countryside, recently orphaned. Her father told her to go to the city if ever she found herself alone, and an old friend of his would take care of her. Unfortunately, this old friend is also deceased. While learning the bad news, she comes across three men from the carnival that's just arrived in town.
There's the charming playboy of a magician who'll love and leave with astounding speed; the grumpy puppeteer with a chip on his shoulder but a soft heart somewhere under the gruff exterior; and the puppeteer's partner, who understands the puppeteer better than anyone and often calls him out or serves as go between. They're out buying supplies when they stumble upon a girl in distress.
That's the starting point I'd like to begin with. This is meant to become a love triangle between her, the magician, and the puppeteer. There's more that I can detail, which is also provided in the plot summary on the Wiki page linked, but that would be best discussed in a custom. I'm open on the time period in which this is set, as well as including other elements such as fantasy or supernatural, but this is not a modern era type of line.
This line involves multiple roles: one person plays the magician and puppeteer, while the other plays the girl and the puppeteer's assistant, and other roles can be NPCed or picked up as needed. I'm looking to play this line both ways: once as the magician/puppeteer, and once as the girl/assistant, but not necessarily with the same player for both iterations.
Themes: historical/AU, het, age gap, love triangle, multiple characters, traveling carnival, fluff and angst, possible supernatural or fantasy.
Preferred faces if I play both males in the triangle: Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Iain Glen, or Paul Bettany for the puppeteer; Ryan Gosling, Scott Eastwood, Tom Hiddleston, or Dean O'Gorman for the magician. Preferred faces if I play the orphan and assistant: Skyler Samuels, Park Choa, Emmy Rossum, Brooke Williams, Molly C. Quinn, Freya Mavor, or Imogen Poots for the orphan; Tom Hiddleston, Tom Cavanagh, Aidan Turner, Matt Bomer, or Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the assistant. I'm open to discussing who to play against in either scenario.
