The future ain't all it's cracked up to be. Earth is a mess of pollution and waste, a planet dominated by a technological tyranny and the Dragons it once mastered. Mars is doing better; it was recently colonized by a bunch of Earthians and is in the process of terraforming, but if you're a mage, forget it! Stop by Mars and you won't be coming back; mages make good slaves. And if you buy any products anywhere, do be careful to read all the labels. That hairspray may claim that it wasn't tested on animals, but there's a good chance it was tested on humanoids.

Not everyone turns a blind eye to these atrocities, though, for there are resistance groups out there, working from the inside and the outside, that would see these wrongs corrected. But aside from the usual risks and hazards resistance brings, one group faces a unique challenge: how do you defeat the enemy when you are the enemy?
