WORLD OF MYRIADIA RPG

Dear Otherworlder: We imagine you are now very perplexed, and wish to know where you are. We suppose we should tell you where, because there are important things to discuss. You are in Myriadia, a place much older than your world. We have been in orbit for billions of years and while we have had tensions and wars, we always seem to come to some sort of agreement in the long run that brings peace to the people of this world.

You will find our lands, beautiful and majestic, full of life, wanderlust and love. However, there is a darkness on the horizon. Something we have battled for just as long as we have been in orbit. We call him Ex Machina, he is a demonic creature from the Nether Realm. He has tried to dominate our world again and again, bringing it to ruin so he can rule over it. We have fought and won many times over, but when he is defeated, he simply goes back into slumber and returns five hundred years later.

Our numbers become less and less after every war, all over. We used to be a planet of ten billion, now we are down to very few world wide. People are terrified of Ex Machina, they are ready to lay down their lives as the time draws near and not even attempt to fight for what is theirs. There are so few willing to fight against the terror that haunts our planet.

It saddens us, but we have a solution. You. You are that solution. We have selected people from different worlds and universes to help us in the fight against Ex Machina, because you have proven yourself in your lives to be just and righteous people. (Though seeing as we believe in the good of all, we hope you will be willing to help)

Now it depends on what you want to do. Will you become strong and help us fight? Or simply live your life out here? It is ultimately up to you. Please check your left wrist, as there is a bracelet there with many gem indentions. There is also a device which allows you to connect to the whole world. It will all be explained to you up ahead.

Please leave your portmanteau behind and move up through the forest arch toward our humble village. Torin, the guardian of this part of the forest will greet you and explain more.

INCANTATIONS 🔮 

For centuries supernatural beings have lived among us, unseen and unheard by ordinary humans. Witches, vampires, werewolves, people who can read your mind or shift into beasts—all of them living in the shadow world right in our midst. They have their own schools and markets, an entire way of living hidden from the humans, protected by that which they call the Veil.

But when a family of witches is ruthlessly destroyed overnight, the Veil is disrupted—the powers that once formed the bedrock of its magical foundations shaken to the core, unstable and prone to sudden disruptions and flares of wild magical energy with unimaginable destructive power.

Now all of the supernatural world has to come together to figure it all out or risk certain exposure and the dire consequences that come with that. Because something wicked this way comes.
