You're a barista in a coffee shop, or a college student with little to no money even though you get the vague feeling you should have a thick heavy wallet. Suddenly Rori Gilmore isn't your everyday quirky girl, she's actually Russian Spy Natasha Romanav in disguise. or for some reason, Dean Winchester just met smurfette and she's the hottest blue fuzzball he's ever seen. Dean's thinking; my life is strange but what the heck, why not? 

Or hey, you went from being a rich Stefan Salvatore to homeless in two seconds flat and Bonnie Bennett is keeping you secretly in her basement because she's actually in love with you and thinks Elena is two-faced bitch for really loving Damon, who is honest and reveals his past just like that way, without being forced. Truth is, Stefan, you're crazy, so is Bonnie and now you're locked out of Elena's house with Stefan, homeless times two. Soon Elena, Damon and his twin Brother, Simon, all celebrate with tea and coffee and lots of jazz hands.

Point is, you were living this surreality up until this point and then a black oval wall opens up wherever you are. Wonky time holes from other universes being caused by a faulty machine. 

You note, you're certainly in a mansion. He takes you upstairs to the maintenance office, where you're given maps of the mansion grounds, a city wide map, a smartphone with an explanation on the network, 500 dollar mastercard that is refilled every two weeks with 250 U.S.D, then taken to a mansion dorm rather male or female, where you're told you'll eventually have a roommate or already have one. If you need more than you're getting, you'll have to find a job, which is easy around here to be frank. Whatcha gonna do now with your new lease on life? Change things? Stop working coffee shops? Kick Thor's ass even though he's got that crazy hammer? Ask Bonnie to make you onion soup and give you a massage underneath the moonlight of someone else's yard? No. You're going to live it up in a mansion and eat steak until...you find out what other purpose there could be for being here.  Okay, maybe you'll kick Thor's ass after getting a knock to the head too.

sondergardens is a panfandom game set in a almost Twilight Zone like atmosphere, where where weird stuff happens but sometimes it's harmless. The difference between Sondergardens and other panfandoms is this; the characters you play, are characters you really don't know very well. This is where we get fanfic rejects from the cesspool of fandom, they burrow into our brains and become lifelike! Haha! Just, they're brought to Sonder's little part of the world and given the chance to be real live people. sometimes it will be allowed to app characters you do know, or even half know.
