Gondolin, FA 473: Nearly a year after the disastrous end of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, Gondolin is preparing for spring after a long winter. Gondolin welcomed all comers who limped home from the war, whether citizen or foreigner; but behind them, the gates were shut and the Dry River permanently blocked, sealing the city in isolation once more. The Gondolindrim, new and old, have made it through the winter—and while the city is still in mourning, things begin to seem brighter with the change of seasons.
Is it a false hope? How long can the city stay hidden? And can all the newcomers be trusted?
Seventh Gate is a canon-divergent Silmarillion game, set in Gondolin during the aftermath of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Turgon, now the High King after Fingon's death, has chosen to offer a safe haven for those fleeing after the battle, but everything is far from peaceful. Times are messy and confusing; resources and tempers are short; the fight against the Enemy seems hopeless.
