It is one of the best and most exclusive private schools in the world. Their staffing is excellent, their exchange students are polite and well-spoken and their sport teams bring home plenty of trophies. What is not particularly well-known, however, is how they select their students. There's a reason for that. St. Margaret's only takes in students that have been touched by the supernatural. There are, of course, the usual suspects - vampires, werewolves, witches and psychics - but there are rarer creatures as well: currently, the school also boasts a djinni, a siren, a kitsune and a banshee, and there's even rumors of there being a dragon... All of them are welcome, as long as they're sentient teenagers who do not feel the need to eat human beings. At St. Margaret's, they will receive an education of the highest standard, while also learning how to integrate themselves flawlessly in the human world without giving the secret away. Seeking: female characters, kitsune, fae, witches, and humans! When Darkness Falls is an original character role-playing game set in the iconic city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The story began in November 2012 when supernatural beings were still hidden from the public, living alongside unsuspecting humans who were never the wiser. Werewolves, vampires, shape-shifters, and gifted humans struggled to keep their secrets, while still maintaining relatively "normal" lives. In 2014 a group of humans, bent on exposing the supernaturals for what they are, began cropping up in cities across the globe, including New Orleans. Their cause grew quickly, and despite resistance the supernatural community was exposed to the world in grand fashion. The initial reaction was to condemn supernaturals, to lock them away and to keep their kind away from humans. This proved futile, however, as the supernaturals banded together and fought back. The war between the human and supernatural worlds did not last long, however, before the government began to intervene. Presently the world is making a shift toward a new era, where supernaturals and humans can co-exist together in a world no longer segregated by lack of knowledge. There are those who still oppose this movement, though laws and regulations are now in place to protect the interests of all parties. While humans must learn to cope with the new world order, supernaturals must learn to adjust to no longer lurking in the shadows; darkness is no longer their ally. THE SEVEN OSTRIEAN CITIES Between Argentina and New Zealand is a large expanse of South Pacific Ocean. Somewhere, in the midst of all that, is the tiny island nation of Ostriea. To the rest of the world, with the exception of a select few people, Ostriea is a giant question mark. Mostly uncharted, almost unknown and endlessly mysterious. Even ships keep a safe distance away. To Ostrieans, however, it's home. For whatever that's worth. However, the feeling of "home" is severely tarnished by a tyrannical ruler called the Supra, and his crew of underlings, the Syndicate. He keeps them slightly behind the technology times; there are no cars or large boats on the island; their only mode of transportation is public transit, horseback or canoe. Anything to keep them trapped on the island. Most people are forced to live in squalor while those who are in good with the Supra live in the lap of luxury. But that's not even the worst of it. For a century now, he's been injecting any newborns born at hospitals with a drug that bestows them with superpowers, under the terms of a deal he made with American scientists. It's turned Ostriea into something of a social and scientific experiment, and the Supra is reaping the benefits. Little does he realize that a revolution is brewing just under the surface. --- The Seven Cities is an original RPG, based on a limited society with superpowers. What side are you going to pick? 15 years ago, the police nearly wiped out organized crime in the city of New York. Patrick O'Meara, head of the Irish Mob managed to bring together the other mafia's within the city and form the Five Family's of New York. Together, this coalition not only survived the devestation of their ranks, but have managed to thrive and once again become a power within the city. A few months ago, however, Patrick O'Meara was assassinated during a police raid. At first evidence pointed at a trigger happy cop, but now it is known it wasn't the police. Did one of the other Family's make a power play? What about the rumors of a new faction having entered the underworld? Are they true and did they do it? Tensions are once again on the rise between all of the criminal elements of the city. Soon, they will have to make a choice. What side are you going to pick?

A friend and I are looking for a modern supernatural community. We're interested in places which have good, concise lore as well as plenty of opportunities for characters to connect in-game. As I am sometimes slow paced, a community which allows for that would be adored.

My friend would like to use Sebastian Stan for her character, while I would like to use both Hideto Takarai (Hyde) and Stav Strashko for two separate characters of my own. Would these faces be welcomed anywhere?

PS: We're not interested in celeb, pan-fandom or fandom, sorry.

So I’m thinking of bringing this guy (Anson Mount with a Cullen Bohannon/Hell on Wheels look) into bitethebigapple and am hoping to get some lines filled/ideas before the next round of adds.

He’s name is Landon Wistrow-Beaumont. Born in Mississippi in 1822, he was a plantation owner who won fame during the Civil War before dying during the Battle of Gettysburg. Reborn a vampire, he squandered years in New Orleans’ Red Light District before disappearing into Asia. Ever the soldier Landon fought in both WWI and WWII before joining the underground resistance in Eastern Europe, eventually helping to bring down the Iron Curtain.

So he’s been around, done a lot, travelled a lot and has room for plenty of violent connections. He’s simply passing through New York on his way to sell his plantation; obviously though I want to find a reason to keep him in NY.

- Perhaps his finds the vampire that made him.
- While he has old money, he’s not one to sit idly by, so maybe he gets employed (holding pen guard/blood farm guard/bodyguard to another vampire or a to a vampire’s favourite pet/something to do with the gladiators etc)
- Even though it would be frowned upon and go against IC rules, eventually I’d like him to hook up with the human resistance and fight for/with them. I’m looking to kill him off much, much, much, much later in the future
- Line wise, he won’t be big on owning slaves, but if he picks up one or two then they’d be treated somewhere between well and just outright being ignored. I wouldn’t be opposed to him having a slave already who’s been travelling with him for the last few years so they could blow into town together. He’d most likely view them as a friend and I’d expect them to be pretty badass.

Anyway, you can check his journal for details though it’s still in a work in progress/needs editing. The basic feel is there though.
