Madison Valley is a small Midwestern town, snuggled in the hills of the Ohio River Valley. Peaceful and calm, it is the kind of place people move to raise their children, or where people retire to find peace away from the big city. It is a place devoid of crime, where doors are left unlocked and everyone knows everyone else. 

Only lately, something strange has happened to Madison Valley. The
natives have found themselves unable to leave the town, and strange
people have been arriving - people formerly thought to
be fictional. 

The only possibly explanation put forth by the townspeople is that the
possible testing of strange and experimental weapons at the Army
Proving Ground to the north of town has somehow put the town at the
middle of a dimensional nexus from which people from all different
times and all different universes are drawn.

The citizens of Madison Valley welcome you! May you enjoy your sojourn
in a sleepy river town - that is far stranger than it
seems!

Boston, Massachusetts—Once the rallying point for those yearning for freedom and an end to oppression. These days Boston plays host to a different kind of downtrodden soul. These people are known as Changelings—humans spirited away by the cruel, twisted creatures known as the True Fae. Don't be deceived—these faeries are the furthest thing from Tinkerbell, and their once prisoners are now on the run from the twisted Wonderland known as Arcadia.

The citizens of the Beacon Freehold are free for now—free to try to fit the tarnished pieces of their humanity back together and to come to terms with what they have experienced. But though they may have temporarily outrun their captors, the fear of the True Fae is never far behind them, and no Changeling can be sure if their freedom will last, or if the man who sells them out won't be their best friend...

Maybe you saw it in your dreams. Maybe you've seen something in the paper or heard the name in passing from a stranger. Whatever the reason, you can't help feeling drawn toward it. You don't know why, you just now you need to be there and once you're there, you'll never want to leave. Pack up your car, hop in your hovercraft, start walking, buy your plane ticket, or stick out your thumb...you're on your way. Time to start fresh. Find a job, make friends, get yourself a roommate; whatever you need or want to do. Welcome home. We're glad to have you.


At first, this new life is bare bones and almost bland for some, but it's clear that there is something isn't exactly right. You might notice if a large group of people move into town, just like you, but no one else does. Whatever is happening, you'll notice, and once you start to, there's no turning back. The town still has that grip in your heart, but now? Now you need to get down to why these things are happening and only the travelers like you who have come from all over to stay here are noticing. If birds start flying backwards and ripples appear in the sky, what else is coming? And why?

If you had one opportunity to change fate...


For three years, Rita Skeeter ruled over a village that existed outside of time and space as we know it. People of all ages, from across hundreds of years, co-existed for better or for worse, every day enduring her various torments - until one day, regardless of real-world affiliations, they all rose up against her. In the midst of the chaos, George Weasley found the ledgers containing the spells Skeeter used to create the village and bind it to her magic.

But without Rita alive anymore to sustain it, the village would soon crumble out of existence. Knowing that his twin's life, and many others' as well, hung in the balance of his decision, George chose to create a new village using Skeeter's ledgers, binding it to himself. For those who wished to return home, he gave them time to say their goodbyes. For those who chose to put their trust in him and stay, he started making plans.

George isn't entirely sure what he's doing most of the time, and the mistakes -- as well as successes -- come almost weekly. But one thing is for certain: George might be a joker, but he's not cruel. Those who come in fresh will never know the difference, but those who remember the days before George Weasley took over can rest assured that this time won't be anything like the last.
