Sometimes the world you create on the page seems more friendly and alive than the world you actually live in.

Since the dawn of time, storytellers have enchanted audiences with their words. But there is an even rarer gift. There are those who, by reading out loud, can bring characters to life. Out of books and into our world. Most of these people prefer to keep their skills a secret but some do not even know this gift is theirs, until it is too late.

You know how your story begins, do you know how it ends?
Have you ever invested weeks, months, or perhaps years into character development only for a game to suddenly lose interest? For things to go awry and you choose to part ways? Are you sitting in a game that you've lost interest in simply because you don't wish to lose all that character development?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then Spinning Compass is for you!

We at Spinning Compass allow character development from any game. From Insane Journal? Approved! From Live Journal? Approved! From Dreamwidth? Approved! It doesn't matter what journal format they come from, your character will be approved!

We also accept Original Characters, and any canon fandom characters.

Novel Ideas is an AU multi-verse game where your characters will be tossed through a variety of novels to see how they survive the events of various books. Does your character have what it takes to live in another world?

it started as a grand experiment in the entertainment game. as its popularity increased, the franchise expanded. the arenas became grander and more diverse. the fighters were given their own self-functioning city, located on a floating island. and as long as they abide by the rules and fight when they're told to, life can be quite good.

Run by old friends, and new colleagues, it opens it's doors to students aged 16-23. It's a place they can learn to harness their new powers as well as finish their educations. Team work is of the utmost importance and may become a life saving tool in the future.

A new take on Marvel, we offer the chance to play your favorite Marvel characters of any background together in a school setting! An even playing field and a new start, take your favorite characters from the very beginning and start them on their journey to hero or villain or anything in between! From the Avengers to the X Men, everyone has a chance to start fresh and make new friends. Teams haven't been made yet and so characters are able to join new teams, take a new direction.

We offer a moderate to advanced writing experience with a minimum word count of 300 for threads. All Marvel characters are allowed and will be fit in as students or student aged characters. We also allow Original Characters to join on in as either student or teachers!

Revelation
In 1985, the Cold War escalated after a series of failed talks between Reagan and Gorbachev, and America and Russia destroyed each other. The resulting nuclear fallout has rendered all of Asia, Oceania, North and South America uninhabitable. Only Europe remains, crippled by overpopulation, high unemployment and waves of new diseases that have been brought on by the residual radiation from the toxic, barren continents.

Disillusioned and desperate, survivors have turned to God for guidance and salvation. Faith and politics have once again become inseparable as the Vatican has dominion over Europe, and is responsible for serving and protecting the surviving citizens and refugees.

A criminal organisation known as the Rosenkreuz Orden threatens to disturb the peace that the Vatican is trying to maintain. The media perpetuates public beliefs that these terrorists will stop at nothing to bring down the Vatican and destroy Europe with fire and anarchy.

Inspired by Sunao Yoshida's Trinity Blood, Revelation invites you to explore the human condition through a dystopian Europe.
