"No one really knows how the power came to be.
Not even the Book of Damnation recorded its beginning. But those who have mastered it have always been hunted.
In the middle of the 17th Century, many
escaped the brutal Witch-hunting in England
and France by coming to America.
As the brutal percecutions of those with The Power spead throughout Massachusetts, the families of Ipswich formed a Covenant of silence.
And for 300 years, it has kept them safe.
Until now."
After the Fifth son of the Sons of Ipswich returned, seeking more power from his 'siblings' Chase Collins, originally named Chase Pope, was looking to the son that would most recently ascend -gain all the power of his Warlock bloodline- Caleb Danvers. He wanted Caleb to will him his power, which would ultimately kill Caleb. After putting the girlfriend of the Parry line, Pogue's girlfriend in a coma with a spell, and then Pogue himself, the other sons including Reid Garwin and Tyler Simms decided that they had to get rid of Chase. Chase took Sarah, Caleb's recently met girlfriend, as insurance that he would get the power.
Caleb met Chase on his 18th birthday where he ascended and then fought Chase. After getting power willed from his already dying father, Caleb was able to create a portal that sent Chase into the unknown and out of Ipswich and burnt down the old Putnam barn where the fight took place.
After getting word from a fire fighter that no remains were found, Caleb and Sarah thought everything was done with so they got into their car and headed back to Spencer Academy. Pogue and Kate awoke from their coma, healed as if by magic.
The sons and two girls thought they were safe. But what they didn't know was after they left, the portal reopened and Chase returned - not just Chase.
People were pulled from their homes in various realities and various species. The only place they could turn to was Spencer Academy.
When a bunch of random strangers and species started showing up at the school from unknown locations and were being housed in the old dorms that hadn't been used in years since new ones were built. Some are attending classes with them, others are just simply trying to figure out how they got there.
The sons must work with the new people and try to figure out how they got there, and why. Most important how they get back.
Can the new strangers return to their old world and the sons return to their normal lives in Ipswich? What part does Chase play in all of this?
