PREMISE RULES SUPERNATURALS CAST HOLDS APPLICATION

Two days ago this was an empty lot, an abandoned field near the edge of town. Then the trucks rolled in, big semis huffing clouds of noxious fumes, and able-bodied men jumped out to set stakes in the ground, run string to mark off areas. The townspeople whispered excitedly as the posters and flyers arrived around town, posted on telephone poles and bulletin boards, stacks of them on the counters in shops.

The Dark Carnival was in town.

The tents aren't the gay red and white stripes of the carnivals of yesteryear; these are black and gray, burgundy and purple, dark jewel tones lit from within by lanterns and candles and blacklights. Torches burn at the entrance and a sign warns all who enter that they are lost. The Ferris Wheel is a hulking beast against the sky; carnies walk among the crowd dressed in leather jackets embroidered like a skeleton's infrastructure, weaving expertly between the marks. Barkers call to passersby, luring them in for the sights and sounds. Canvas banners ripple in the wind, which carries with it the scent of food cooking, the hot smell of machinery and oil.

There are cries of laughter and delighted squeals coming from the funhouse, the freak tent, the thrill rides. People walk out of the psychic's tent looking a little uneasy, laughing it off as hokum even as their skin crawls. And some of those shrieks from the funhouse... well, they sound a little too sincere, don't they?

This is the Dark Carnival.

The year is 1873.
The place is Manchester, USA.
The situation is an abnormal mine explosion, resulting in the birth of magic back into the world.
The result is people discovering they now have strange abilities.

What We Offer:
Pick your plot: With suggestions from both Mods and players, the direction of the gamewide storyline is put to a vote. Want something specific to occur? Majority wins.
Characters: Six races with unique twists on each, and a six character limit gives the opportunity to play one of each race.
IC Activities: What-If days, which will feature an Alternate Reality to the actual game. Participation in these will be optional.
OOC Activities: FFAFs every week, which may feature optional games and other means of encouraging OOC bonding and character development.
Anonymity: Don't want other players knowing who you are? That's okay! You have the option of hiding behind your character.
Mods who want to see their players happy and active!
Quality and fun, without being elite snobs.

IIt's true: an active game is actually seeking Marauders and challenges are welcomed! Oh, ho ho. But what's the catch, you're probably wondering. Is it about to die? Not a chance going strong with 300+ comment journal entries, daily chats, and at least one character added a week. Is it hard to get settled in? Not at all. RM has the most welcoming cast out there with players who are genuinely interested in your characters and helping to develop them.

While we definitely do want the Marauders in game, they aren't the entire focus of it. Instead, RM is arranged so every character has a purpose. RM is also incredibly easy to jump into because it doesn't require you catch up with everything that's happened in game. Instead, your character can jump in where you do. The level of ooc crack is only matched by the level of ic plot.

IN SHORT? GO HOLD.

Roadmaps is an AU Mauraders Era RPG centered around the hunt for the Horcruxes. This time, the Horcruxes have been scattered across the globe and a mad scramble has erupted between the Order, Death Eaters, and Ministry to reach the Horcruxes first (with journalists trailing behind) before Voldemort can return.

A NEW GENERATION of heroes is trained under the veterans of old - young men and women learning from their heroes how to be the best super powered individuals they can become, at Byrne Academy. This new facility, hastily thrown together due to a rash of powered adolescents springing up across the world, is absolutely one of a kind. Located in the heart of the Mojave Desert, students come to gather in a location where they can do no damage to the outside world - either to learn how to join the powered world, or how to manage their powers and live a regular life.

THE VETERANS' GUIDING HANDS are not enough, however: a new brand of unsavory vigilante is coming forth; individuals less concerned with morals and doing good and more with getting their man any way possible. The old guard of the heroic world try their best to mold these people, even inviting the presence of post-secondary age students to join them for internships and one-on-one tutoring that extends beyond that offered to the high-school age children in the facility. But it may already be too late to help those who have written their own lateral moral code.

WATCHING FROM THE SHADOWS are the infamous group, the Chaos Syndicate, who have their fingers in everything - including the operation of the school. Covert members of the organization have joined the school, both as teachers and students, and are waiting for the opportune moment to recruit and pull the facility apart at the seams, thereby damaging international security and the strength of governments the world over. The Chaos Syndicate will strike - it's only a matter of time.

The year is 2031. The scientists have successfully kept their project a secret, hiding away in the bowels of Maine. They've censored, monitored, and all but controlled the mutated, posing as doctors, teachers, and trusted family members. Powers are starting to emerge and it's their job to test their limits and ensure human safety. Can they stay within the ethical bounds? Will the mutated figure out what's really going on? The experiments are far from over, but the danger is just beginning.

The Genome Project is a game focusing on original characters with super powers and the scientists that mutated them, with a few accidental killings thrown into the mix. We've been open for 15 months.

Open powers include: alchemy, cryokinesis, enhanced strength, healing, illusion, lie detection, mediumship, shapeshifting, technopathy and many more! We're always looking for new scientists to get more involved, as well as more mutants to push back against. Check out our premade list for pre-established lines needed.

A DESPERATE WISH

It was a battle like any other. A fight they had fought for so long. The Brotherhood, run up against the X-Men. One trying to stop humanity's destruction of their own kind, one trying to protect all of mankind. Human and mutant alike. There were injuries, and there was fatigue. It was a parting shot, and still no one knows who took it. All they know is time, slowed. Pietro, known for his speed, had stopped. Somehow been hit and fallen. His sister, Wanda, turned and seeing his limp form, eye staring blankly at the sky, screamed enraged. She threw herself, and her powers, over his body, a silent plea for help, any sort of help. Her powers of reality manipulation pushed to their breaking and she too went limp.

But not before the world shimmered, and changed. Our reality, absorbed, absorbing another. Heroes and villains alike felt the odd shift, but none know exactly what has happened. Only that fallen comrades have returned. Loved ones, once thought lost, brought back, and new heroes, new enemies, emerged. The worlds of Marvel and D/C have joined. But do they trust each other? Or find a way to somehow separate their worlds once again? Knowing the consequences could be blinking out of existence all together.
