No one knows what started it. No one knows where it started. Reports flooded the internet, the airwaves, radio and satellite communications: at first with skepticism, then caution, and finally world wild panic, the truth and the shit hit the Global Fan.
The dead were walking... and they were hungry.
Present Day: October 2010
In a world where the zombie to human ratio has nearly reached 1:1, civilization has reverted backwards a few hundred years. Money has lost all value, with the barter system becoming the new necessity. Things like gas, food, and ammunition the new gold; fresh water and working plumbing something to treasure. Pieces of humanity have come together the best way they can, some settling into permanent locations, others traveling like gypsies along the new trade routes carved throughout America.
Avoiding the major cities which have become Hell Zones-filled to the brim with zombies who wander in hordes across the landscape-this troupe of a hundred or so nomads now spend their lives traveling. They stop at settlements and meet other caravans, trading, providing extra security, company, and entertainment before moving on again.
They are simply trying to get their lives back together in their new reality... while avoiding Hostiles, Post-Apocalyptic Whack-Jobs-- and, of course, the Undead.

twickenham Just opened! A small town pb community where everybody knows everybody and a stranger is welcome. It's Friday nights at a football game and Saturday afternoons with friends working on fixer-uppers. It's fun and what Norman Rockwell had in mind in all of his illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post. Doing this with the last of her power, she offered a solution to her minions: Find those who escaped Silent Hill. Bring them back for sacrifice and she will come to this world again at her full power. The Sinners must be found and pay the price. |

 The year is 2023 and Hogwarts’ first year under the reign of its new, tyrannical Headmaster, Tiberius Odgen, has come and gone. Students are free to enjoy their hard-earned summer beyond the reach of their stern faculty and archaic standards of conduct, no longer victims of dictations regarding everything from the volume of their laughter to the proximity they must maintain from the lakeshore (and members of the opposite sex!). The older students leaving their seventh years behind them enjoy this time with a sense of nostalgia and excitement as they prepare to enter the next phase of adulthood; some seeking employment and others leaning toward the option of tertiary education. Yes, slowly but surely, the Wizarding World has come to mirror its Muggle counterpart by founding Wizarding Universities, with Britain’s two establishments located in Scotland and England promising to turn determined academics into the kings and queens of tomorrow. But summer will only last so long. For all the younger kids, from fifth year to seventh, it’s only a matter of time before Hogwarts’ classrooms are filled with new sets of teenagers bombarded with rules and regulations, and a cross, ex-Hit Wizard Headmaster, who does not tolerate any kind of folly. From the Daily Prophet; 2025-08-22 Harry Potter is dead - killed by Bellatrix Lestrange and his own daughter, now married to Rabastan Lestrange. The war, however, despite Voldemort's propaganda, is far from over. Hidden within the safety of Hogwarts, the Order of the Phoenix keeps resisting Voldemort and his Death Eaters. It's the third war, started by a spell no one understands... In the Summer of 2024, a pack of werewolves started terrorising the country, turning young children and brutally killing their parents. A month later the dead started returning to life. Voldemort was among the first to arrive. By spring 2025, Voldemort and the werewolves had joined forces; Hogwarts, Azkaban and Diagon Alley had been attacked, but Ministry and Order were still standing strong, forcing Voldemort to live in hiding. On June 18, 2025, everything changed! Voldemort launched an attack on the wizarding world, hitting King's Cross, the Hogwarts Express and the Ministry. While the forces of good spread out to protect the population, Voldemort took over the Ministry – and with it the Wizarding society. The Order and their allies fled to Hogwarts, where Headmaster Severus Snape shielded the school, making it impossible for Voldemort to gain entrance. From there, the Order launched its resistance. For the rest of the population, it’s comply or be killed, but under the surface, people are trying to find a way to manoeuvre outside the new laws and restrictions. In the meantime an unknown, yet undetected, spell is spreading amongst the Wizarding population, Death Eaters, Order and neutral alike. I've got an Andrew Garfield PB to offer. I only PB him, but I'm dying to get some story lines going. Long term and short term, smutty one night stands, serious relationships, I can do it all. I prefer to role play with other actors (that don't look like females) unless you can offer me a Matt Sanders or Brian Haner.

I hear the bangs, it sounds appalling I run outside, the sky is falling There are children in the streets Blood flowing from where their hearts and souls would meet All the stars are exploding, fragments falling from the sky Everyone is scattering As pieces hit the ground, the earth is shattering Am I dreaming? Should I run? Has our day of judgment finally come? I try to scream, I only cry I must seek shelter so I run back inside Huddled in a corner, I am quick to realize As the ground caves in beneath me, there was no where I could hide. Dear diary, The earth is rattling. It started early this morning. I woke up to see my bed moving across the floor and books falling from their shelves. I thought it was just an earthquake. People outside were screaming. Blood curdling screams that made my blood run cold with fear. I dared a peek outside and what I saw made bile rise in my throat.... Zombies. Hundreds of them, perhaps more, dragging people out of their houses and tearing the scalps off their heads, seeking the brains buried within the skulls. There was a strange man I'd never seen on this street standing there laughing. The zombies seemed to be doing his bidding. The sky was a blood red except for a streak of white, where I could have sworn I saw a beautiful eye peering out. It had to be the eye of God. The streets were cracking open, and all sorts of demons were climbing out. Some looked human, the others...oh, God, the others.... And now they're helping the zombies. They're grabbing the people who are trying to run. The streets are slick with blood. Now I'm hiding in my basement, scribbling out this entry for whoever finds it. Please give it to my parents. I don't think I'll be able to give it to them myself. You see, there's a scratching at my door. The devil is trying to get in. Why doesn't God stop him? Why doesn't God try to intervene? Why doe.....  Welcome to the Garden of Serenity. Where this is no garden and has no serenity... At least, not for you. The world as you know it is gone, and in it's place? Every dark and terrible creature you could have ever possibly imagined. Zombies crowd the streets, werewolves howl from the rooftops, vampires are masters of the night... And those are just the underlings. The Devil has been let loose on humanity, his dark, blood-starved children allowed to run rampart on what used to be your home towns and neighborhoods. God is angry with their children, and this is your punishment. Enjoy your new life in the Garden. |

Musings has always existed, a world alongside our world. In Musings, people live the way we do, eat the same food we do, love the same way we do, and work the same minimum wage jobs we do. The differences? They all have their roots in fictional characters, and they are immortal. Though they are not the characters themselves, they carry in them the essences of characters from fiction. The sources that they spring from do not exist for them, but they are based on fiction we are familiar with all the same - though no one has ever read a Batman comic, there is a rich young man who uses his money to fight the forces of evil that destroyed his life. Though Moby Dick was never written, a sailor still stalks the bars of a town on the sea, watching, waiting. Now, a portal has opened between the world of Musings and the mortal world, and the Creations (as they call themselves) have begun crossing over in droves. Now, they have abilities that they did not have in their own world, abilities that they can choose to do with what they will. There is no great prescribed fate for these echoes of fiction, only the destinies they choose to weave for themselves - living and losing on the shores of a new world.
