The Premise


Werewolf attacks have become the stuff of everyday life for much of Wizarding Britain, an ancient spell cast by Slytherin himself is bringing the dead back to life, and a certain Dark Lord seems intent on conquering the world again... Harry Potter, the Head of the Aurors, has his Department fighting back with around the clock patrols and Hit Wizards are busier than ever before, but even with extra security, is the world safe?

How long will the tension build? How much can those who saved the world take? How far can the wizarding world be pushed before it reaches its breaking point?

On 10 June 1978, the man known as Lord Voldemort conquered the Wizarding World and named himself Minister for Magic of England. The Order of the Phoenix went underground to continue the fight, but they knew it was over.

Ten years later, it is June 1988, and the world has changed. Wizards now bear tattoos on the back of their necks ranking them from I to VII based on blood purity. No Muggleborn is allowed at Hogwarts, marriage is strictly monitored, and anyone who gets in the Ministry's way receives a one-way ticket to the grave.

With each day that passes, life gets worse, and the witches and wizards with the courage to fight are regathering. In the past ten years, countless lives have been lost, and the time for action is now.

Spymoria: A Chuck PSL

[info]spymoria is a Chuck-based PSL that will be starting around mid-June and picking up post-season three.

So far, we have the following characters: John Casey, Sarah Walker, Bryce Larkin (not an accountant), Daniel Shaw, Ellie Woodcomb, Jeff Barnes and Lester Patel.

However, we're still missing some key characters that we'd love to have in the game!
Chuck Bartowski: You can't have a Chuck game without Chuck. The game's looking for someone extremely dedicated to writing the character (since he is so important).
Morgan Grimes: Morgan's also pretty central to the game, especially considering recent events on the show. And we'd love to have a Morgan who can capture his lovable dorkiness.
Captain Awesome: Someone's gotta play Awesome! And I'm sure our Ellie wants her husband around!

Other characters that we'd also like to have as either PCs or NPCs are: Big Mike, Anna, Orion, Beckman, etc.

The company might have shut down and the government might have banned the drug, but it's still hitting the streets illegally. Now we've got dealers (known as Sandmen) getting richer by the day, addicts (known as Dreamers) living alternate lives in a "hallucinatory" Dream World called Morpheus, and government agents (known as Nightmares) trying desperately to put a stop to it.

Poseidon Academy, an educational institution by the shores of the ocean, is home to people of all different ages, from all different places. They are teachers, faculty, students and townspeople, each serving an important purpose, playing a crucial role in the Academy's greater community. Reachable through a nexus -- a strange and inexplicable phenomenon that allows passage between worlds and times -- the Academy exists largely in a world of its own. All races, all ages, all sentient forms of life are welcomed with open arms to the Academy. Some are more benevolent than others, but that's the risk of a place such as this; that is what gives the Academy its color.

Nearly all fandoms and genres are happily accepted into the Academy, so long as they can find a place, their own little niche, in which to fit within Poseidon's community. PARADOX is a new community that is in desperate need of an Eleventh Doctor. The community is AU and the plot involves the coming together of past, present and future. Eleven is crucial to getting the plot started (details of which can be found in the moderating journal linked above). There are plenty of spots available and as we will not be accepting original characters, this will be a close-knit community containg the main characters of Doctor Who and Torchwood.

May 13th, 2010, is a significant day in history. Significant, at least, in that absolutely nothing changed. The sky did not cloud over with smoke, no global pandemics spread from continent to continent, and, most importantly, the world as we know it did not end. Most of humanity will never realize the significance of that date; they will go on to live their lives, unaware of just how close they came to total annihilation.

But those few who were aware of what was barreling toward them with no hope of stopping are left to wonder, Now what? With the apocalypse stopped, the things that went bump in the night have gone quiet, but the peace won't last.

Because it's not over. It was never over. Lucifer escaped his prison, but he wasn't the only thing. Now the dead are rising all over, human and demon and angel alike, bringing unexpected allies and long forgotten enemies back into the game. With Sam Winchester worse than dead, and Dean all but retired, saving the world has fallen to the rest of them, the other hunters. The question is, can they stop the apocalypse once and for all?

No Quarter is a Supernatural-verse game, set following the events of the season five finale. All canon characters are available for play, but the primary focus here is not on the Winchesters' story; this story is about the rest of them.
