Two centuries ago, Queen Daenerys reclaimed the Iron Throne and guided her kingdom through the Dark Winter. Stories became history, and history was relegated to the dusty tomes in the libraries... It is now high summer, and the kingdoms are celebrating their new king, the young Jaehaerys, who all but returned from the dead to take back his throne. His father, the famed Paegon the Just, is already enshrined in songs and the terror that came after his murder is fading. The plague that swept the land is all but gone, save in the Vale which has been last and hardest hit. The singers boast that Jaehaerys has return the dragons and his reign will be a golden age... Yet those within the halls of power have seen the shadows on the horizon, have felt the tremors of a coming storm. He was briefly treated by John Seward under the suspicion that there was an organic cause for his eccentricities. Poseidon Academy, an educational institution by the shores of the ocean, is home to people of all different ages, from all different places. They are teachers, faculty, students and townspeople, each serving an important purpose, playing a crucial role in the Academy's greater community. Reachable through a nexus -- a strange and inexplicable phenomenon that allows passage between worlds and times -- the Academy exists largely in a world of its own. All races, all ages, all sentient forms of life are welcomed with open arms to the Academy. Some are more benevolent than others, but that's the risk of a place such as this; that is what gives the Academy its color. Nearly all fandoms and genres are happily accepted into the Academy, so long as they can find a place, their own little niche, in which to fit within Poseidon's community.
