Cronos overthrew his father Uranus, castrated him, and took ownership of the world. Zeus revolted against his father Cronos, taking the throne of Mount Olympus, forming the Olympian order. Rising up against father figures is a running theme in Greek mythology, if you didn't notice. While Zeus was in power, he threw all of Titans who opposed his rule into Tartarus, a level in the Underworld. His father Cronos, however, managed to escape to Italy where he became known as Saturn. In this new world, he was a minor deity. He came from a state of power and control, and his quest for power was unquenchable. He wanted power again so badly, but he waited. History repeats itself, and even the gods aren't safe. Ares tried to overthrow Zeus. Unlike history, he failed, leaving the gods standing divided, and arguing. This left the door open for Cronos to reclaim his position as ruler of the Gods.  |

A new school year is here. For the juniors and seniors, this has become a routine for them. They've 'been there' and 'done that'. Most have already sent in their college applications while others have decided to take a separate route in life. Graduation is right aroud the corner, and they're eager to finally put this chapter of high school life behind them. For the sophomores and even more so for the freshmen, this 'life' is still new to them. They're still adjusting to all the new changes and differences. There's so many new things to try, so many new memories to make and so little time. If their parents were able to survive high school, they should be able to too, right? It couldn't honestly be that hard right? Right? Wrong. While most of the population of Salem Falls have lived their lives completely oblivious to the town's dark secret, there are a select few that don't. Those select few individuals, even some families, are directly tied to that secret world, while others are just starting to realize the truth. Summer has passed and with each new year brings a change. For some, a new tan, a new fling, or a recently broken up couple that want to start fresh. For others... this change can be a lot more drastic and difficult to adjust to than they realized. What secrets are lurking behind those shadows? Or rather... What secrets are your closest friends, family members and even enemies trying their hardest to keep hidden? How far will they go to keep those secrets? I'm on that hunt once again...to find a roleplay partner. I've been playing for 10+ years, I tend to write in paragraph form but I understand when the response only calls for a few sentences, I only play female characters [I'd like my partner to be able to play a male main char] but I don't mind taking on a few side chars, I dislike stories based around sex, yes, sex can happen but that is by far the whole premise of the storyline. Also, I prefer to play over IM but if we can't make it on around the same times email is fine.
At the moment I am yearning for a good original story. Something we can come up with together. I love something with adventure, good vs. evil, romance, action, drama, anything you can think of. I tend to lean towards fantasy, modern with a touch of fantasy aka vampires/magical creatures/ect. living in a modern setting, and medieval.
As for story ideas I have a few ideas that need to be fleshed out; my female char is mysteriously drawn to your char who has dark intentions, two chars that have been altered with special abilities are being hunted....hmm...mainly looking for something fun. You wake up one morning with a headache, you wonder if you're hung-over but you didn't drink anything last night so that can't be it and after taking a painkiller and heading to work you forget all about it. A few days later you think you back to your childhood and there's a memory that doesn't fit, it doesn't make sense and you try not to think about it because it sets you on edge and makes you feel uncomfortable. It doesn't stop. Maybe weeks go by, or maybe it's months, and someone turns up on your doorstep. Maybe they look official, or maybe they're wearing jeans and a T-Shirt, but they introduce themselves and tell you that they're from something called 'The Agency', they sit you down and if you're lucky they'll make you a cup of tea or pour you a drink before explaining it all to you. The memories are real, but they're someone else's, someone you always thought of as fictional. You're what they call a reincarnate, someone who's been reincarnated from this fictional person, brought into this world with magic that no one yet understands. They talk about a war that's being fought between two sides of reincarnates, the good and the bad. You're not told what side to pick or that you need to, but you know that a day will come when you and the person you used to be and are possibly becoming will need to choose. |
