This is a Katekyo Hitman Reborn! RP community.

Picture it: Ancient Rome. The Colosseum in all its glory is looking well preserved and brand new. Statues of Caesar's line the busy and bustling walkway. Market stall owners call potential customers attention as they try peddling their wares of foods, jewels and fine linens. The slave trade is in full bloom, all looking well kept and gorgeous - much like the fruit being sold just steps away, they're ripe for the picking. And overhead a hologram of the Colosseum's main event - all looking as life-like as they will be during the night's battle.

This isn't your typical Ancient Rome. Time has stopped, yet technology moved on. The proof is the hologram you're staring at. The conversations people seem to have with themselves, and the electronic device sitting on a table nearby. This is Roman Theater - your not so typical ancient play.

Confundus! Is a fun next generation Harry Potter roleplay game set in the year 2023. It's been more than 20 years since the Dark Lord was defeated, allowing Harry and his generation to raise their kids in a much safer environment than their own growing up. This doesn't stop house rivalries, however, which are still going strong, even despite the fact that there has been marriage and reproduction between houses.

The game is mostly light, though the house rivalries can get a little dark depending on how far the students want to take things. This is not, however, a game solely for shipping. We would like to see interaction between all kinds of people and possibly even the start of an organization to attempt to unify the houses. After all, when the school was first built: Godric, Helga, Rowena and Salazar were all friends. Can it ever become that way again?

In the 1970s, a war had begun to rage throughout wizarding Britain. People disappeared, entire families were killed-- and the world was torn between Albus Dumbledore's Order of Phoenix and Tom Riddle's Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres and the threat of a pureblood society taking complete control loomed overhead. A red scare suddenly ran throughout the wizarding world as the body count grew.

The tables turned when the Dark Lord received intelligence that he believed would seal the fate of this war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and it quickly came to light that this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times, and dispose of their son.

On October 31st, 1980 the Dark Lord was finally able to find the Potters at their home in Godric's Hollow when Peter Pettigrew betrayed them. However, the Potters were not ill-prepared for the attack. Severus Snape had been able to warn Lily Potter of what was to come, and when the Dark Lord arrived that evening at Godric's Hollow-- he was not met with the happy parents and their child-- but the entire Order of Phoenix and an ambush. On that Halloween, the Dark Lord fell, and the wizarding world rejoiced.

Time marched on, and the world forgot about what had happened that Halloween in 1980. The families who had supported the Dark Lord were either jailed, disappeared or managed to buy their way into freedom with tarnished reputations-- but the Ministry of Magic and the Order of Phoenix managed to regain their hold and purge the world of darkness. The world was at peace, but the Dark Lord would not remain forgotten forever-- those true to him knew there were plans that could resurrect him-- but those plans had seemingly disappeared.

In a world that is falling into forgetfulness and repeating the past, where will you stand in this time of trial?

How much do you really want to know about your neighbors? The "normal" suburban life of a close-knit community can be a dark and twisted place. Trying to juggle children, jobs, spouses, mowing the lawn, keeping the roses, baking pies, is hard enough without adding the intrigue beneath it all cheating, lying, embezzling, illegitimate children. With their own hectic problems and romantic lives, each new family on the block brings on a new mystery and a new twisted element. Life behind closed doors is about to be revealed as suburban life takes a turn.

Politesville is journal-based RPG set in a relatively small city only a an hour south of Chicago, near the eastern border of the state. The city is home of many small, family owned business; restaurants, hardware shops, dry cleaners, liquor store, supermarket. Politesville is the perfect place to raise a family, for settled retiree's, recently married couples, someone running from their past, somewhere to hide your wife from your secretary in the city, where it's fine to down a bottle of chardonnay while doing the laundry.

Premise

The 1996-1997 school year ended with the death of Albus Dumbledore, but while he and Harry were uncovering the truth behind Lord Voldemort's immortality Lord Voldemort was himself in the final stages of a plan that would bring him that much closer to everlasting life.... To take over the Ministry of Magic. Break into the Department of Mysteries. And solve the mystery of the Veil -- the doorway between life and death.

On 1 August 1997, a battle raged inside the Ministry as Death Eaters fought Aurors and Ministry officials for the control of the Ministry for Magic -- and the control of Wizarding England. The Order of the Phoenix found out hours too late, and by that time, Voldemort had won.

The next day, the Daily Prophet announced that Lord Voldemort had declared himself Minister of Magic. The reaction was immediate, as countless witches and wizards fled the country. They, as the remaining magical population would soon discover, were the lucky ones. While St. Mungo's remains neutral and Gringotts Bank has taken a violently oppositional stance, the remaining wizarding institutions, including Hogwarts, have no choice but to go along with the Dark Lord's demands.

While the Death Eaters have been running the country, slowly but surely destroying all that was good about wizarding society, Voldemort has been examining the veil. It didn't take long before he found a way out.

Thus he entered through the veil to explore the realm of the dead. But what he didn't count on was that as he entered, someone was released. Looking exactly as they did the day they died, that soul, who was in stasis at the happiest time of their life, has no knowledge of current affairs or their life after that happiest moment. But they're back, and the only way out for them is to die again. But they don't remember death - they only remember life.

Appearing in a discrete alleyway in the heart of Diagon Alley, they are lost, confused, and have no idea what to do. But soon after the first of the undead was discovered, those loyal to the Order have been carefully watching, making sure those who return are properly cared for and given the latest in wizarding communication: the journals. If they have family still alive, they are put in touch with them, and they do their best to readjust to life in 1997.

But the question remains: what is Voldemort looking for beyond the veil? What is it that he thinks holds the key to immortality? Only time will tell, and if Voldemort discovers it before Harry Potter destroys the remaining Horcruxes, then the wizarding world will forever be subject to the Dark Lord's rule.

The year is 1525, King Henry VIII is on the throne of England, Catherine of Aragon is Queen, and the religion of the land is Catholisim. It is a time of peace but neighboring monarchs are always eager for the glory of war. The winds of change are blowing through Europe; the Renaissance is sweeping from Italy northward, the Reformation sweeping outward from Germany. Though England has thus far managed to escape the most radical movements that come with them, she won't be able to stay unchanged forever.

This game has been going on for a few months but we DESPERATLY need more people. Almost all characters are still open, but in particular we need a Henry VII as he is being played by another player just to fill at the moment, we lost our first Henry due to lack of participation. We also really need Thomas Moore, Cardinal Wolsey, and Thomas Boleyn, just to name a few.

Welcome to St. Catherine's; a private jesuit catholic prepatory school located just north of Salem, Massachusetts. Sure, the majority of the students consist of high society rich kids, but there are a small group of young girls who've decided to band together. They were ostricized for various purposes, and have come together by practicing the craft in secrecy.

With their previous leader dead, and written off as having "drowned", and with three other girls missing, the school is very shaken up but still pulls a facade to prevent the knowledge from hitting national news. Now the coven is down to eight, and with the school quickly approaching fall, that means one thing. New students, and a new possible member. Nine, is after all, a sacred number in witchcraft numerology.


this is a pb game based off of the craft. although some aspects of worship will reflect paganism and wicca; we'll try to remain ambiguous with the terms "the craft", and "witchcraft". the girls worship a primordial entity known as "manon", who has the capability to grant gifts, as well as take them away. the magick will reflect "hollywood" themes, but the practices themselves (invoking the spirit, calling the corners, casting the circle, magickal correspondences, etc.) will reflect modern day paganism. essentially, this will be a school game with a twist.

This is not the Hogwarts you know. Certainly, its layout is identical, but its ghosts and professors have disappeared. Monsters roam the lower dungeons, and silent house elves dart about performing necessary duties. Outside, it is always winter; the enchanted ceiling of the great hall is always black, even in the daytime. Hogsmeade is deserted, the train doesn't run, and few who venture into the wider world ever return.

People of all ages and from all times are beginning to appear, and they are told by a mysterious old man with no name that they have been rescued, though rescued from what is unclear. Who is the benevolent dictator ruling this world? Is he really that kind after all? What happens when monsters begin to rise to the inhabited levels? And what happens to the people who try to escape?

Every version of the story is different. The conversations, the tiny details; they're all told in their own way, with different twists and turns and points delivered to properly execute the tale. The story has changed over time, repeatedly leading those belonging to different cultures with opposing beliefs clashing over the subject for hundreds upon hundreds of years. In the end, however, the story never really matters. It's the name, the significance, the idea of what he represents that strikes nothing short of pure terror into the heart of man.

Lucifer. The fallen.

As the angels tell it, it was his refusal to bow to humanity that brought on his fate. He believed that the angels were better, finding God's favoritism toward the mortal beings that walked the earth to be nothing short of distasteful. In turn, Lucifer chose to rebel by wickedly twisting a human into a demon. Rather than bringing forth the change in order as he had hoped, Lucifer instead found himself being punished by God for his disobedience. Delivered from the heavens, Lucifer was forced into a new home - a seemingly impenetrable cage trapped within the fiery depths of Hell. Six hundred seals bound Lucifer to his cage. Six hundred. Only sixty-six, if done correctly, would be required to break in order to free Lucifer from damnation.

Thousands of years later, as prophesied, a righteous man shed blood in Hell. Against the torment that found him in the pits, Dean Winchester began to crumble. The very first seal was quick to follow, breaking the pathway to all others like it open to those who sought to free the fallen from his chains at last. Demons began to rise up, led by Lilith - Lucifer's First, the very human that he twisted into a demonic form that brought forth his own downfall - to break the seals. At the same time, perhaps the first in thousands of years, angels too began to route themselves toward the seals to oppose any and all who dared attempt to destroy them. A silent battle, unknown to most of humanity, waged on between the angels and demons.

In the middle of it all, stood two brothers. Each with a role to play, both with the best of intentions at heart. With the angels pushing at one side and a demon guiding the other, the Winchester brothers, too, fought against the demons, steadily gunning their way toward Lilith. The Winchesters were key players in the struggle between Heaven and Hell. That had been anticipated from the beginning. What no one expected was for the impossible to occur: while bordering a little ways short of the halfway point, Lilith destroyed the thirtieth seal and, upon doing so, unknowingly shattered a barrier between worlds.

Soon afterward, people from those worlds began to appear out of thin air.
