It is the nature of life to cycle. All things go in circles, from the helplessness of infancy to the helplessness of old age, from the role of daughter to mother, son to father. Human events cycle through peace and war over and over again. Hearts are broken and won by turns. Civilizations swell and then recede like tides through human history. Life continues. Stories, too, cycle. The strongest stories begin with people, who tell them to their children and their grandchildren. Sometimes stories are treasured over wealth, even worshiped as lifelines against the turning confusion of chance. Stories found societies and anchor families. They teach both young and old the value of life. They drive culture and reflect change. They also live. |
People today cling to the real. They worship their own ambition and dismiss the stories of old as dusty, irrelevant pictures of times that no longer matter. Our world is not a world of stories, but a world of cheaply painted scenery and cardboard cutouts of heroes. No one has time for stories anymore. Yet some people who live today are much more than real. They are a generation of stories incarnate, gods and legends, fables and folklore. In these gray days of reality they find themselves unable to ignore their pasts, blessed or cursed with abilities and attributes impossible to explain in cold modernity. They are beginning to discover tangible relics of the past, items that still hold power even now. Through a journal page they are now discovering each other, and as the days pass it becomes more and more clear that stories, no matter how hard they try, will not be ignored. |

O T H E R S . They walk among us, OBSERVING. In the beginning, there were only the humans, and, amongst them, a cursed woman. She was a good woman, pure and kind, but wherever she went, misfortune followed her. Whenever she lit a candle, it went out. If she petted a puppy, it died. If she fed a bird from her hand, the bird would fall from it, dead. Children died in the houses she visited, and the power of her curse opened a Vortex of Damnation around her. With it came the first forces of Darkness. Warriors of the Light rose up to fight the darkness, and thus began the battle between the Light and the Dark. [Read More] |

Legend holds that when Gaia, the over-mind, created Judoh, it understood that as long as the city would be led by one of their own, it would become prey to the same vices and mistakes that plagued the rest of the society. In practice, after countless years of wars and political struggle, the mastermind designed a city built to thrive in spite of the passage of time. It built over the ruins of open conflict, turning casualties of mortars into the foundations of a scintillating city. It instilled rules and regulations and brought humans prosperity in exchange for obedience. As in the Bible, those who did not obey were thrown out of Paradise. |

SIT-COMICAL: as seen on tv |
In a suburban community in a nameless city in a nameless state, people wake up every morning with their hair perfectly combed. They sometimes drink from empty cups. They deliver witty one-liners. Every problem they ever have can be resolved in 30 minutes, or in a very special one-hour episode. Everyone who lives in this community is a sit-com character reborn. They are not aware of this, of course. There is no laugh track playing in the background of their days, no mood music and no set lighting. For these people, the world around them, their neighbors, and their selves are as real as anything. But we know better. We have seen them in prime time. We'd know them anywhere. |

It was built by mischief makers that had attended the school after the War, put there for the sole purpose of being a secret meeting spot for friends, groups, or couples, for any use from parties to plotting to just enjoying the evening sky. It hasn't been discovered yet, but the students are still careful. The only way to get to it is Invisibility cloak--which is rare--or the hidden passageway on the fourth floor back corridor, behind the statue of a dancing House Elf. |

Upon death witches and wizards will enter the Fortunate Isles where nothing will ever be the same for them again.
