Background
In the ancient days, the gods relied on Seers to prophesize their next move, and foresee any dangers that faced the supernatural deities. These Seers would band together and hold rituals to See what lay ahead for all beings; man, god, and other alike. Nearly 12,000 years ago, the Seers saw something that frightened the gods so much that they took drastic measure. They held a counsel and decided that, to save themselves, they would do the unthinkable. Combining their powers, the sent all supernatural beings to the continent of Atlantis. To keep balance in the world, the gods did not destroy the island. Instead, they sent it to another realm, where they would be safe from what the Seers had predicted - the downfall of the gods by the extraordinary... by the supernatural.

Premise
For thousands and thousands of years, the supernatural (as well as the unfortunate humans) have lived on the continent and have reached a point of peace and prosperity. The Seers, however, who were banished with the beings (out of fear, naturally) have been seeing things which could change the shape of their world forever. Darkness is coming... who will stand and fight?

RIDDIKULUS RPG post-hogwarts trio-era The year is 2000. After seven tumultuous years, everything is calm. Harry Potter has defeated the Dark Lord, and things are finally as they were always meant to be. Hypothetically. Nearly two years after the war, and witches and wizards everywhere are still having trouble putting their lives back together. Missing friends, dead family, strained relationships, and social inadequacies are causing mixed feelings everywhere. What should have been a perfect time is now, to put it best, awkward. There are so many people who don't quite know what to do with themselves now that the world isn't in grave peril. Lucky for them, there are still a few people out there looking to change that. Present day Aiode Falls, Maine is home to many residents from all over the globe. And Universe.
The little college town is growing, and becoming home to more and more people all of the time. Some of them have no idea how they got there, and some of them can never go home. As the University gets darker with new arrivals harboring less than happy intentions, so does the city. It is now home to metahumans, vampires, humans, demons, ghosts, aliens and even celestial beings. All of them with defined morals (or none, for that matter) and each with an allegiance. Those without a chosen allegiance are considered fair game, as both sides subconsciously prepare.

There is a constant battle for good and evil in this town, and only one side can prevail.

10 years have passed since the end of the series. The world has once again sunk into depths of violence. An attack by waiters at the president's masquerade ball that was to commemorate the decade of peace since the war resulted in the president's resignation and a new threat to our heroes. The second masquerade, celebrating Treize and Dorothy's wedding, saw an assassination attempt on Treize, running for president. With the cast still reconnecting after a decade apart, can they come together in time to stop more violence?

One Mask For Another is a slightly dark, partly crack, forum Gundam Wing RP. Due to recent personnel losses, we are looking for new players to refill key positions as well as to take on new characters. Click on Apply Here and reply as a guest in that thread to get started. If wanting to take over a character previously in use, we will give you the password via AIM or some other way; the Still Open topic will have background information the characters previously used. If wanting to take character with no account yet, we'll give you the go ahead to make it. You just have need to say hi first. AIM is the preferred method of communication. Original characters will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

New players will start June 1st at the inaugural ball, which will be a masquerade, of course. ^_~

	Since June 2007, Let's Cruise has provided an active and stable home for hundreds of original characters. As we we enter our third year next month, we are looking to expand our membership and broaden our horizons just a bit more with some new faces and fresh blood. The game has two settings - a cruise ship traveling the world, and a corporate office based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The characters in both settings communicate with one another via a journaling system, and there is occasional plot bringing both groups together. Many positions are open and available, and we welcome any and all PBs. Our application is simple, and our main focus is on developing characters and having fun with them. Adds are scheduled for tonight, Sunday, May 24th at 11pm EST, and they take place every Sunday. We're very laidback and very active, and we'd love to have you join us! Mount Desert Island ; A Supernatural Game
Set on the incredibly picturesque Mount Desert Island (the largest island of the coast of Maine) in a world that may have some small and dramatic differences from our own world - the main one being that vampires walk among us at night and have come public about their existence & lycanthropy is a pathogen that the CDC tracks and is mentioned from time to time on CNN. While humans struggle to come to terms with this knowledge, other creatures that most believe are just works of fiction are contemplating making themselves known as well, while others are comfortable in the shadows. As the game begins characters will likely be affected (or at least might have reaction to) both local and national events that will help shape game wide plot.

PREMISE
*You wake up to the smell of smoke.* In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. *You wake up to the crackle of dead airwaves.* Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. "The One with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies.... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal..." In early 1980, Sibyll Trelawney gives the Wizarding world arguably one of the most important prophecies to date. Lord Voldemort, upon catching wind of his downfall, devotes himself to bending the very foundations of magical exploration in an effort to glimpse his future with one goal in mind: changing it. The effects are catastrophic. Dark Magic coupled with Divination results in a ripple-effect, one that spreads first to Voldemort's Death Eaters and then to the rest of the Wizarding population of Britain. Gradually, everyone is seeing his or her respective future, in a short flash. No one knows how the flashes are spreading, or how to stop them. Even more peculiarly, there are whispers of stranger side effects than brief glimpses of what is to come. The Ministry calls them "Visitors," and they're trickling in slowly but surely. It hasn't taken long for everyone else to cotton on: they're from different times. The Ministry of Magic is in an uproar, and the magical community has no idea why this has happened to them, or if the flashes are even real. Panic and confusion pervade the already tumultuous times, and with the institution of the Department of the Oraculum the Ministry hopes to soothe the population and record accounts of each person's flash in the hopes of piecing together an ambiguous future.

Welcome to the City of Carroll, referred to as Wonderland City by some, a degenerate city nestled right in the middle of Nowhere. Formerly controlled by a faceless, unknown puppet master aliased as OMEGA, the entire city was thrown into disarray when OMEGA suddenly and unexpectedly vanished.

Now, everything that seemed to run so smoothly in the strange city of Carroll is being destroyed and a struggle for control of the city has begun and the citizens must choose their alliance;

There's the refined and haughty A L A B A S T E R S, led by the White King and Queen, who think they're ever-so-much better than you. Very much at odds with the wild and impulsive C R I M S O N S, led by the Red King and Queen, who love you for your body. The Star Date -65415.00, Nero had been vanquished by the red matter he used so frequently. The consequences of using the red matter was a backlash, but instead of just creating black holes and ripping holes in the space time continuum, it's also ripped holes in the dimensional continuum and it's pulling people into the new world.

All sorts of people with no real home, arriving with anything on them at the time and a communicator that would attract the attention of the Enterprise.

SIT-COMICAL: as seen on tv

In a suburban community in a nameless city in a nameless state, people wake up every morning with their hair perfectly combed. They sometimes drink from empty cups. They deliver witty one-liners. Every problem they ever have can be resolved in 30 minutes, or in a very special one-hour episode. Everyone who lives in this community is a sit-com character reborn. They are not aware of this, of course. There is no laugh track playing in the background of their days, no mood music and no set lighting. For these people, the world around them, their neighbors, and their selves are as real as anything. But we know better. We have seen them in prime time. We'd know them anywhere.

Sit-Comical is an RPG where you reinvent a sit-com character and place him or her in this unusual, but mostly reality-based suburban world. All human, non-magical characters are welcome, and though you must stick to the essence of the original sit-com character, much of these characters will become your own creation. 	It's now 2003 and after five years of healing the Wizarding World is ready to get on with their lives. The Wizengamot has reached the verdict on their last Death Eater trial. And just when everyone begins to breathe again, a family of Muggle-Borns with a brand new baby were brutally murdered. And above their homes the Dark Mark is glowing just as brightly as it had five years ago. The Order and the Ministry are both on the hunt for the Lestranges, the only missing Death Eaters. But the rest of the world is starting to wonder if it's all just smoke and mirrors. Is Voldemort really back from the dead? After all... he's done it before.
