A handful of years ago, people were relatively normal, and lived life much like you and I. They played outside with the neighborhood kids, attended school, some even had part time jobs. Then it happenned; and the same group of kids who were once doing what other children did now are faced with a big, large present. No one knows how it happenned, as everyone's abilities came to being in so many diverse, and interesting ways. Some experienced radiation, others were bit by radioactive spiders, a few were the subjects of tests gone horribly wrong, but yet, those more fortunate were simply blessed with the proper genetics.

This is how the Saint Xavier's College came into being. The college itself, is a private institution located 25 miles outside of San Francisco. Saint Xavier's boasts a large accumulation of degrees, and extra-curriculars as well as an excellent faculty, with a nice 40-acre location separating themselves from the nuances of busy city life. Sure, it may seem like a plain and stable institution, but don't let this fool you. The student body, by all accounts, are less than normal. People with Extraordinary gifts of all kinds are rounded up, and welcomed into the college. These students were recruited in the most peculiar ways, no real pattern, nothing. Some of the students merely received acception letters from the college once their senior year was finished. Their parents just so happy, for the fact that their child was accepted into a lovely, and accredited four year institution on the West Coast -- despite the fact, that they probably haven't heard of it nor submitted a transcript for admission. Some inquired about the school on their own, and upon admission went through a method of "screening" by the faculty. Others were sought after, through any means possible. And yet other children, were just mysteriously "dropped" off. Sure, the college might seem normal, and of course public knowledge of the school as well as admissions were open, however unbeknowingly, it wasn't.

All of the students are completely different; everything random from country, family background, and interests. However the one thing they collectively share: they're all undeniably gifted. Children with gifts have just recently started to appear within the last four or five years. Of course, nothing would be easy to control that could turn into a mass hysteria, without the government. A few inconspicuous locations scattered across the continent are an attempt at not only hiding, but relocating these individuals far from harm's way. The students at Xavier's are anywhere from knowing this knowledge. Most view these gifts as forms of ostracizing themselves from being human. They are scared, afraid, and unsure how their families would react. Sure, a few might be proud, but society is unforgiving. They could easily be snatched up, and taken under the control of the government. Who would want that? Being socially exhiled is feared, by young men and women all over the world. So what do they do? They lock up their talents, ignore it burning inside of them needing to be exercised. They fight through the headaches, the pain, and every once and a while give in, in the dead of night, when no one's awake. They can only wish their abilities remain dormant. Unused. Out of sight, and hopefully out of mind. Still, one can only do so much, and only time can tell how things will turn about. But, it already seems someone on campus knows just too much.

As a part of the school, journal contact with professors and other students is a must. As all of the journals are connected with the college, it seems one person in particular doesn't mind posting people's deepest, and darkest secrets. Some are familial issues, other rumors tend to allude that they are, well, different. Nothing is known about the journal, except for the signature name and journal itself. "S. C. ANDAL"; posts the latest drama from the mutation mishaps to the gossip of a socially driven community. People desperately wonder who it is, how they know, why they are ruining them. Some feel like it's a headmaster, messing with the students. Others are pretty much unsure of it all. Despite all this, the truth remains, and now it's just a matter of how much longer can they keep it a secret.

The game is partially anonymous, with your names withdrawn but your AIMs in use! We expect a lot of fun. Lots of IC drama, Lot's of socializing.. and a whole crap load of possible plot arcs!
