PROLOGUE

There's an elite boarding school an hour away from San Francisco that's dedicated to the education of children with superpowers: Veritas Academy. Veritas takes these children in and helps them control their gifts - trying to turn them into productive members of society. The lucky few become heroes and villains that are respected and feared the world over, but the rest also have real stories to tell. They are known as businesspeople, lawyers, doctors, academics, nurses, and teachers. They are the people you know, but never stop to truly wonder about. There are success stories and failures that are known everywhere, but not everyone can be Superman. The majority of the students remain virtually unknown to the majority of the public as they go about their everyday jobs and lead their everyday lives. The Veritas Alumni Association decided to follow the trend that had been set by Livejournal, Facebook and MySpace, and set up their own social networking site. It became known as something that old students use to keep in touch with friends, watch their enemies and complain about their everyday lives. Yet in between the complaints, arguments and laughs that the students are having, something is beginning to interrupt their lives: Someone is killing alumni, and no one knows who's going to be next.

Characters are invited, via a method dependent on their social class, to stay at Archon's Rest, a luxury resort and spa. Upon arrival, they find it to be everything that they could ever want, but is it really the paradise it claims to be? Where has the front door gone, and why can't anyone find a way out to explore the grounds? What's with the sudden spike in residents' nightmares? Did this scar exist yesterday? Why is the staff so eager to please, and when, exactly, do they expect you to check out? Will you have a restful vacation or the adventure of your life? We are a small, intimate game that opened Friday, March 13. All original characters are welcome. If you are searching for an active, engaging game with major character development possibilities run by RP veterans, this is the game for you. Wanted Characters: We are currently in need of men, persons from upper class / wealthy backgrounds, and working class people looking for a break in order to increase diversity. Also, we currently have roles that need to be filled and more on the way. All characters, however, are always welcome.

The City of Sin is a plot driven supernatural game which will give every player the chance to have a say in the overarching plot of the game. It is a dark and gritty game which centers around a war between three large groups and takes place in a futuristic world where demons, vampires and werewolves rule like royalty. There are many, many plot centric characters desperately wanted. For instance Aislyn and Nicoli of the Elari. A couple who have recently married despite their romantic entanglements to their third partner - Lilith. Currently it is unsure whether the marriage is due to love or a play for more power. Then of course there is the Watch. A group who is intent on saving the remaining humans. Pitched against the scarily powerful Elari and Raidan to most it looks like the Watch are way out of their league, though that doesn't stop them trying. Finally there is the Raidan, newly arrived in Las Vegas they've got death and destruction on their agenda - but is that all? All in all CoS needs you to make it something great. The war is just beginning and I can promise you that you will have a good, no great time here. There are some fantastic writers, some very creative minds and in all honesty? I haven't felt so inspired in a long time. If you're looking for a plot driven game, somewhere your characters can grow and explore facets of their personality and try new things then City of Sin is for you. If you like games which don't limit you, which allow all types of storylines then this the place for you. So, I urge you to at least check us out, you won't be disappointed, I promise.

It is now home to metahumans, vampires, humans, demons, ghosts, aliens and even celestial beings. All of them with defined morals (or none, for that matter) and each with an allegiance. This is a Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Angel: The Series RPG.



Recently the game rainbosunnydale has changed hands for modship purposes and I’ve made some major overhauls. Rules and regulations have been changed, former inactive players have been dropped and I’m looking for new crew members. I’m still working on over-hauling many parts of the comm. And OOC but we in the game are looking for new blood.

Premise of the game:

After Sunnydale became a crater, the remainder of the gang and newly empowered slayers headed off in a big yellow bus for a new destination. It was decided that putting the entire group in one place to start off was far from a good idea. So the group split up. Faith and Kennedy headed back to Angel's place in LA, in attempts to set up a main head quarters while the others went off with Principle Wood to help him start his base of operations with the rest of the new slayers. Shortly after arriving back in LA Angel offered to put the group up in the Hyperion Hotel where Angel operations formerly had been run out of since he's just inherited Wolferman and Hart. Being suspicious of the newly acquired properties Angel made an offer to the current ally's he had in LA, after they arrived, that he would be more then willing to put them on the W&H payroll if they'd watch his back. So Faith and Kennedy set up in the Hyperion only to be greeted shortly after their arrival with one watcher named Katherine St. James and several baby slayers to train. Since then the crew staying at the Hyperion, which has now been deemed 'The slayer hotel', has steadily been growing in numbers. However, little do our slayers, Angel or anyone else know, there is a evil much worse yet to be seen and this one isn’t just going to play with magic and get into fist fights. This is a big bad with smarts, connections and charisma to top off magical aptitude and fighting abilities. Can the new slay crew handle this baddie? What waits just around the corner for our crew? I guess there's only one way to find out, come on down the road to rainbosunnydale... If you dare.

*17 years of age or above.
*Characters, unless part of some evil plot, must be at least gay friendly.


About the comm.:
rainbosunnydale is a comm with adult themes and story lines in a darker buffyverse setting with a preference towards slash; though Slash is not required. Adult themes can include: gore, horror, sex, abuse, torture and etc. This game does have over arching plot lines, but no one will be forced into participating in any plot they don’t want to. Threads will be made where there will be a disclaimer that plot is going to happen in that thread, but not precisely what will happen as to keep RP exciting for all players. No character will ever be killed, maimed, tortured, etc in any thread unless permission of the player is obtained first.

PREMISE
You wake up to the smell of smoke. In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. You wake up to the crackle of dead airwaves. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington.
