 - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - As the crew of Galactica jumped into the orbit of the green and blue planet, a wave of shouting erupted throughout the entire ship. They had finally made it. Friends embraced each other, lovers kissed, and children bounced happily. The truce between the Cylons and Humans remained steady as each gazed upon the beautiful planet known as Earth. They had found their new home, and they were going to share it. The planet would help continue the existence of each race, or so they thought. The few that were given the chance to step foot on the ground soon found the planet not to be up to their expectations. There was nothing left; the planet was in ruin. Something had happened many years before their arrival. How could this desolate place be home of the Thirteenth Tribe? How could it be home to anyone? The group looked over the land, unable to comprehend what could possibly have done this to a planet. There was silence; everyone was too surprised to speak, and too downtrodden to suggest that it was only part of the planet. Before anyone had a chance to return to the Raptor, Dr. Gaius Balter stumbled across a piece of technology that was foreign to him. He stood in front of the DHD and peered over it, recognizing the shapes as constellations. In fact, he recognized quite a few of them, from this galaxy and their home galaxy. As he examined the device, Six appeared next to it, whispering in his ear and telling him to punch in a certain code. He listened to her, and did as he was told. Within moments, the watery-vortex that was the wormhole burst forth through the ring-like portal and the group was taken aback. The group cautiously approached the Stargate, curious as to what type of technological capabilities the 'Thirteenth Tribe' possessed. It was Kara Thrace, triggered by something in her memories, that passed through the Event Horizon first, followed shortly after by Lee and Sam. It wasn't long until the rest of the group made their way through. What awaited them on the other side was something that would surprise them even more: the past. A glitch in the system allowed the group to bypass Atlantis' precautionary measures, and they all arrived on the other side, guns pointed at them and Dr. Elizabeth Weir gazing down at them. And that is where the battle for humanity continued, for the groups all worked together to keep the Wraith and Ori from teaming up and destroying Earth together... The Event Horizon is a Battlestar Galactica/Stargate RP that allows for most characters from the series (New BSG, SG-1 & Atlantis) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place during the last season of SG-1/season 3 of Atlantis and the last season of BSG. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still. There is a whole range of characters available, and OCs are welcomed. If you think you are ready to cross the Event Horizon, then we're here to meet you on the other side. Dubbed the "Shanti virus", it attacks the nervous system of it's host and, in most cases, it is fatal. In late December, 2007, a vial containing the virus was shattered, destroying any hope of ever coming up with a cure. After that, things began to happen rapidly. People all over the world were becoming infected and people were dying by the millions. By June 2008, it was obvious that the impact of the virus would surpass that of the Bubonic Plague and even AIDS. Hundreds of millions of people were dropping like flies and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. There were treatments that could combat it for a few days, sometimes weeks, but never anything more. By September 2008, the world was devastated. In what felt like the blink of an eye, humanity had practically been eradicated. Ninety-three percent of the world's population fell victim to the Shanti virus; leaving a mere seven percent to pick up the pieces." |

The space race began in late 1957 when the Russians set things into motion. Ever since, Earth and it's inhabitants have been constantly inventing and attempting new ways into the great unknown, into outer space. The International Space Station (ISS) set things into motion in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when they began research on how to solve problems and enable space travel and, ultimately, space colonization in the future. NASA has been working tirelessly in an effort to make space colonization not just a story in science fiction, but an actuality. In 2030, Hyperion was launched and established in orbit around the Earth. It was the largest task ever taken on by the human race and it took twenty years to complete all the in-orbit assembly. Test runs were made and in 2054, Hyperion's first residents, three chimps named Larry, Curly, and Mo, were placed in the space station where they lived for a month before NASA was content with the work done. Hyperion was deemed a success and then the real work began. Scientists and military personnel from all over were drafted and brought in. The space shuttles Ingenuity and Discovery made trips once a week, delivering crew to the station. In 2060, Hyperion was finally fully-functioning and completely independent of Earth. But now, in 2128, we're not alone -- and we're about to find out just how insignificant we really are. Aeronautics is a plot-driven sci-fi RPG. This game is a detailed, plot-centric one, with an emphasis on character development and involvement. Everyone will be expected to contribute to an overall plot that has a definitive beginning, middle, and end. We're reverting back to the way RP used to be: when it was about writing and interaction and plot. |

The year is 2025 and Chicago doesn’t sparkle as it once did. Everything is dirtier, grittier and more worn down than the pictures in the history books like to show. Glitz and glamour have no place here because a war is brewing in the shadows. Bullet holes and dried blood litter the city’s streets and no one thinks twice if a person is gunned down a few feet away. But it wasn't always like that. For years the Irish, Russians and Italians occupied the city on what could be considered "friendly" terms. Patrick O'Meara saw to it that the peace was kept and that each group saw to their own affairs. Each stayed out of the other's way and if someone stepped out of line, meetings between the heads of the families were called and it was settled quietly behind closed doors. Thanks to O'Meara, they were all able to coexist peacefully enough. Well, right up until someone decided to pull the trigger and open Pandora's box. Dante Morelli, son of the Italian crime boss Antonio "Tony" Morelli, was the one who decided to take matters into his own hands. A lifelong grudge held against O'Meara's son fueled his plan for revenge and without consulting any of the elders, took a few of his most trusted soldiers and put an end to Patrick O'Meara's life. It was only a matter of time before chaos ensued and more blood was shed. No one knows exactly who pulled the trigger, but then again, it really doesn't matter. Now, Conor O'Meara has been called back from Ireland to lead in his father's place and enact a little revenge of his own. All bets are off and both the Irish and Italians are gunning for each other while the Russian's, with a little meddling of their own mixed in of course, sit back and wait for the smoke to clear. So who will it be? The Italians who specialize in drug trading and follow a list of commandments? The Russians who are notorious for underground operations and clean transactions? Or the Irish who are perhaps the oldest and most organized crime group in the city? The choice is yours and without it, you might as well be dead. The Raccoon City incident didn’t hinder the Umbrella corporation’s underhanded dealings. If anything, the tragedy acted as a springboard. With the media placing no blame on the entity, and instead praising their work and the support they offered the ruined community, Umbrella was seemingly invincible. Untouchable.
Nobody listened to the survivors of the event; their warnings were met with criticism and slander. After a while they tucked themselves away and went underground to plan, while Umbrella’s higher-ups built facilities similar to the Hive, but with much more protection. Veritable fortresses, unseen and unknown of by the public. They began hammering out deals with other countries before too long, and their influence spread across the globe like wildfire.
Ten years after Raccoon City, the world had become an Orwellian dystopia, controlled by one single corporation.

Wiser now, the survivors wait. Their own influence has been spreading, drawing in followers, and slowly but surely a small army has begun to rise. Revolutionaries, people who have seen through Umbrella’s façade, scorned relatives of the corporation’s victims, bitter former employees (and even current employees who have no qualms with stealing information for the good of the rebellion) have joined forces as members of the anti-Umbrella movement.
Of course, it’s not going to be easy… but these few men and women are devoted to their cause, and willing to take the company down by any means necessary.

Ever Wonder What The Lives Of The Chosen Ones Are Really Like?
Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.
It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.
