They had finally made it. Friends embraced each other, lovers kissed, and children bounced happily. The truce between the Cylons and Humans remained steady as each gazed upon the beautiful planet known as Earth. They had found their new home, and they were going to share it. The planet would help continue the existence of each race, or so they thought. The few that were given the chance to step foot on the ground soon found the planet not to be up to their expectations. There was nothing left; the planet was in ruin. Something had happened many years before their arrival. How could this desolate place be home of the Thirteenth Tribe? How could it be home to anyone? The group looked over the land, unable to comprehend what could possibly have done this to a planet. There was silence; everyone was too surprised to speak, and too downtrodden to suggest that it was only part of the planet. Before anyone had a chance to return to the Raptor, Dr. Gaius Balter stumbled across a piece of technology that was foreign to him. He stood in front of the DHD and peered over it, recognizing the shapes as constellations. In fact, he recognized quite a few of them, from this galaxy and their home galaxy. As he examined the device, Six appeared next to it, whispering in his ear and telling him to punch in a certain code. He listened to her, and did as he was told. Within moments, the watery-vortex that was the wormhole burst forth through the ring-like portal and the group was taken aback. The group cautiously approached the Stargate, curious as to what type of technological capabilities the 'Thirteenth Tribe' possessed. It was Kara Thrace, triggered by something in her memories, that passed through the Event Horizon first, followed shortly after by Lee and Sam. It wasn't long until the rest of the group made their way through. What awaited them on the other side was something that would surprise them even more: the past. A glitch in the system allowed the group to bypass Atlantis' precautionary measures, and they all arrived on the other side, guns pointed at them and Dr. Elizabeth Weir gazing down at them. And that is where the battle for humanity continued, for the groups all worked together to keep the Wraith and Ori from teaming up and destroying Earth together... The Event Horizon is a Battlestar Galactica/Stargate RP that allows for most characters from the series (New BSG, SG-1 & Atlantis) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! Six years after the Battle of Hogwarts in which the Dark Lord Voldemort was defeated by the infamous Harry Potter, the lives of those affected by the war are returning to normalcy. The Ministry has been rebuilt, government restored to it's original status with security in place that most wouldn't have dreamed of more than half a decade ago. Loved ones were lost, but over the years the date of the victory had become a memorial, and those who had fought against the Dark Lord and his followers were recognized as heroes for everything they had done. Some of them returned to work at the Ministry, others got married and started families, and the elite returned to their places in the Quidditch League. Back to the pre-training seasons, practices, matches, semi-finals, finals, parties, and most importantly - the scandals, all has returned to normal in Wizarding Britain. Bring The Sun is a Post-Warts Social Harry Potter Game based in 2004 around the British/Irish Quidditch League and the players within. Welcome to The Retreat, a rehabilitation center specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome for war victims. It is funded by Saint Mungo's hospital and set within the beautiful woodlands of the Kamchatka Peninsula. We proudly boast a well trained staff of nurses and doctors specializing in psychological counseling while, at the same time, providing a healthy and nurturing sense of community and family. What our pretty brochure won't tell you, however, is that our head doctor is a bit of a bored masochist with a god-complex, magic within The Retreat has been nearly nullified, the grounds are charmed to heighten emotional responses, and there's hidden cameras set up everywhere, even behind the two-way mirrors. So won't you join us in our pseudo-quest for mental wellness in a post-war world, where even though the Dark Lord is dead, the victims of the second war can't escape the fact that they'll always be someone else's pawn and plaything.

Imagine a world where heroes no longer exist and the only way for the streets to become safe again is for one family to rise above the rest. Everyone has an allegiance here, the neutral don’t stay that way or alive for long. Each member of the police force is bought and paid for by someone, so there’s no point in calling when trouble comes knocking at the door. The year is 2025 and Chicago doesn’t sparkle as it once did. Everything is dirtier, grittier and more worn down than the pictures in the history books like to show. Glitz and glamour have no place here because a war is brewing in the shadows. Bullet holes and dried blood litter the city’s streets and no one thinks twice if a person is gunned down a few feet away. But it wasn't always like that. For years the Irish, Russians and Italians occupied the city on what could be considered "friendly" terms. Patrick O'Meara saw to it that the peace was kept and that each group saw to their own affairs. Each stayed out of the other's way and if someone stepped out of line, meetings between the heads of the families were called and it was settled quietly behind closed doors. Thanks to O'Meara, they were all able to coexist peacefully enough. Well, right up until someone decided to pull the trigger and open Pandora's box. Dante Morelli, son of the Italian crime boss Antonio "Tony" Morelli, was the one who decided to take matters into his own hands. A lifelong grudge held against O'Meara's son fueled his plan for revenge and without consulting any of the elders, took a few of his most trusted soldiers and put an end to Patrick O'Meara's life. It was only a matter of time before chaos ensued and more blood was shed. No one knows exactly who pulled the trigger, but then again, it really doesn't matter. Now, Conor O'Meara has been called back from Ireland to lead in his father's place and enact a little revenge of his own. All bets are off and both the Irish and Italians are gunning for each other while the Russian's, with a little meddling of their own mixed in of course, sit back and wait for the smoke to clear. So who will it be? The Italians who specialize in drug trading and follow a list of commandments? The Russians who are notorious for underground operations and clean transactions? Or the Irish who are perhaps the oldest and most organized crime group in the city? Genetic mutation has always been a dirty little secret, one that wasn't easily kept. The government used to be in control of these anomalies, but there was a large jump in numbers at the turn of the millennium. More and more children were coming up with signs of genetic mutation, and blame was being placed everywhere it could be. Government testing, herbal supplements, a new enemy's war tactic, global warming, and the breakdown of the genetic structure itself. There was no explanation to give the families of those changed, and the government's only suggested cure was containment. (continued) It seemed like things were going to change for the better after the death of President McCannials. Miles Griffin took the office gladly, with an image of hope for the mutants. He'd brought back their rights, given them their lives back. The hospital was gone, and seemingly, the testing had stopped. But, Miles Griffin had other plans down his sleeve. By giving them their rights back, the mutants could be used in Government and Military means. Shortly after the downfall of the first mutant hospital, mutants began disappearing again. This rang many bells to the world, wondering why, on earth, mutants were disappearing. And in such large numbers, too.

Metahuman is an original mutant story line based in New York City. We are a fun, active, friendly and drama-free community, seeking more! The game is futuristic (in a sense), and takes place in 2021. We allow humans, as well as mutants. The game circles around life between humans and mutants, and how they cope with one another. The game has been around for a year, at least, starting in December 2007 on greatestjournal.com. Now, the game is playing on livejournal.com. Premise
The rumors - dismissed as myths, urban legend – had circulated for years. There was a kid from Spokane who could melt metal with a touch, someone's cousin's neighbor's aunt had gone to school with a girl with blue skin… Everyone had heard about the mutants but no-one much took the notion of them seriously; they were a boogy man story kids told at camp, nothing more.

It all changed in September of 1989 when a noted geneticist publicly revealed the discovery of something called the 'x-gene', a characteristic shared by certain prison inmates whose crimes had never been completely explicable. One of these, Manuel Alfonzo Rodrigo de la Rocha, had long since been speculated to have some empathic ability. The news had gone public on the 17th.

De la Rocha was dead by the 20th.


World

The 'outing' of the mutants caused immediate wide-scale paranoia, periods of quiet marked by outbursts of violence, neighbor turning on neighbor, people who looked even a little different from the norm getting accused of all kinds of things. There were beatings, there were hate campaigns and, though rarer, there were lynchings. As things got worse two very old friends – Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier – decided to make a stand. Both found their way into government – Erik in San Francisco, ultimately taking the mayoral post, and Charles getting into Homeland Security. For a decade they quietly sought out other mutants, working behind the scenes to get enough of them into position so that, should the time come, they'd be ready.

The election of November 2000 signaled the time was coming and, as the government vetoed one mutant-protection law after another, ratifying one mutant control law after another, Charles and Erik made the final preparations. Charles would be the silent partner, officially and publicly opposed to a plan he'd helped action, and Erik would be the face of the movement.

The movement that on July 4th 2003, using a team of just fifty, used Erik's position, Charles' money and a whole group of people's gifts to take complete and total control of California. The sealed the borders, took over the state government computers and locked down, spilling as little blood as possible as they forcibly evicted the human population, letting only 2% remain and even then only after the team – which would come to be known as The Brotherhood of X-Men – had it's telepaths check them over.

It took time for the US to accept that the situation wasn't going to change – each move they made on California was met by a swift and devastating counter attack, all clearly pre-planned well ahead of time. Officially, legally, the state is still one of the fifty but the US provides it with no goods, services or anything else for that matter and receives nothing in return. While the situation is officially unresolved most now choose to quietly ignore it, happy to let the mutants get on with their lives so long as they're getting on with them somewhere else.

Three years have come and passed since group seven was separated by that painful day Sasuke left the Leaf Village. While Naruto left with the Toad Sage Jiraya in order to train for the inevitable battle between the Leaf and Sound village, Konoha with all of its occupants was taking a change of themselves. Sakura became the star pupil of the 5th Hokage herself, bonds between outer villages like the Sand were beginning to strengthen, and many of the chunnin and jounin had to multiply their efforts for anything that might be thrown against them. Not only was Orochimaru's wrath their fear, but also the Akatsuki. After a while, alliances between the Sand and Leaf were becoming more prominent, attacks on both fronts were something the two villages shared along with reconstruction. It isn't a rare sight to see a building crumble due to a secret attack, despite the fact many live in fear, there are still those few Ninjas that feel it is their given right to protect their village. We know them as heroes. This is where you come in. Do you have what it takes to be a hero? Do you know what you are fighting for? Can you sacrifice everything to save your village? It all depends on you, whether you make friends, destroy them, or heck even win over them. Every village has their ninja's, are you sure you can be a hero?

Gotham City, once the most pristine city in the world, will never be the same again.

Nearly thirty years ago, the city began to struggle. The gap between the rich and the poor was only growing and violent crime was on the rise. Those who fought this corruption found themselves admired by few. It was only after the death of Gotham's golden couple, Thomas and Martha Wayne, that the corruption escalated The city fell into despair and the silent mobs who had operated in the background for decades, rose to power.

No one dared to stand up to the mob and the reasons were clear; you either join or become a public enemy. Various corporations, businesses, and law enforcement establishments fell into mob control, leaving citizens in the midst of mafia power struggles. The innocent suffered or were forced to give in. No one was safe and the more time that passed, the more power the mafia gained.

Early 2007, a mysterious figure appeared to fight these criminals. His courage has influenced others to take a stand over the year, but the mafia still controls the majority of the city. The lone man, dubbed 'The Batman', is going to have more to worry about than the mob in his city. Despite the fear he has struck into the hearts of organized crime, another form of villain has started to emerge. Donning their own costumes, these criminals are turning the work of the Batman against him.

But Batman does not fight alone. His work has inspired others to take the law into their own hands. These caped vigilantes are as eager to protect Gotham as the Batman, whether he accepts the help or not.

An AU social Future Era Harry Potter game It is the year 2022. It has been 24 years since the fall of Voldemort on that fateful June night at Hogwarts, and although it took awhile to rebuild the Wizarding world to what it once was, the world has been stronger than ever. With the help of so many people that now were on the side of good, the Ministry was able to get up and working once again, under the watchful eye of their wonderful new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. And the little Wizarding school was able to go back to what it was put there for; teaching young Wizards and Witches how to be just that. They took in students from far and wide, different and alike, from Wizarding blood or Muggle blood. And the school grew and rebuilt itself to be the greatest school in History. The Landing is a spot on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and spot built in the safe woods just on the edge of the Black Lake, far from Hagrid's Hut and the Black woods of the Forbidden Forrest, hidden from the sight of the feared Caretaker and the Headmaster and his Professors. It was built by mischief makers that had attended the school after the War, put there for the sole purpose of being a secret meeting spot for friends, groups, or couples, for any use from parties to plotting to just enjoying the evening sky. It hasn't been discovered yet, but the students are still careful. The only way to get to it is Invisibility cloak--which is rare--or the hidden passageway on the fourth floor back corridor, behind the statue of a dancing House Elf. Join if you enjoy a social, friendly playing environment!

Home for Bill Kaulitz? Somewhere people will actually talk to him at. I'm open to having a PSL playing him against someone. Slash only for the psl, and the comm. should be at least slash friendly, obviously. And I'm open for twincest if you want a Tom/Bill psl line or if there's a Tom in the comm. that wants a line. Not necessary, though. :]

Civil War: Brother against brother, friend against friend, and a whole lot of mutants caught in the middle.

When the Superhuman Registration Act was passed in July of 2008 things changed immediately. While some heroes stood for it, others were firmly against it, and as the two factions split down the middle those on the outside began to call it a Civil War. Iron Man stood for his government's policy, while for the first time, Captain America stood against it. The two men were friends, as most on either side were at the time, but all could see the sacrifices needed to be made for their cause. Registered and aligned with the government, Iron Man's strike force began working on systematically bringing in those heroes who stood in opposition to the new act. With the support and funding from Tony Stark's personal wealth they were near unstoppable. Charles Xavier did his best to shelter his students from the budding conflict as he had during threats of a Mutant Registration Act, but they were inevitably pulled in when the government realised that there was a 'stronghold' of people with superhuman powers sitting in upstate New York. Those students who wished to register were allowed, but very few wished to do so. In the following events, Scott Summers and Ororo Munroe convinced Xavier that he needed to go into hiding, leaving the student and the school in their care. With the Professor secreted away, Scott and Ororo held onto the school for as long as they could before they were attacked for a second time, this time by federal officials. Scott and Ororo were forced to take the students and run. They fled to Mutant Town, also known as District X of New York City. But their problems aren't completely solved. They may have Captain America's backing, but Iron Man and his army are still searching for them, and rumor has it that people just don't come back from the place they're taken when they're caught. Like all other unregistered heroes they now find themselves mingling with they have to be careful and focus on avoiding Ironman and SHIELD, while at the same time trying to somehow protest the Act that's changing their entire lives. How long can they stay hidden and how long will the Civil War continue to pit friends against friends?

civilwarred is a game that deals with just that, Civil War. Focusing on the lives of the characters in the Marvel Universe, join us to explore how mutants, superheroes, and citizens alike, react to the restrictions and changes the Superhuman Registration Act forces on their lives.
