Sorceress Ultimecia’s reign of terror is over, and though SeeD has fulfilled its purpose, Garden’s doors remain open to children to face whatever inevitable foe dares to replace her. Slowly but surely, it feels that the world is reverting back into its old rhythm and forgetting the wounds of yesteryear. Organisations continue to provide Balamb Garden with a steady line of clientele, utilising their teams of elite mercenaries by pulling them across-continent as personal soldiers. Other cadets hang back within the academy, waiting their turn as they focus on schoolwork, training… and just a little more than before, having social lives. Life may not be all about fighting and war from here on, and the dangerous electricity in the air, lingering from the battles just months ago, does nothing to ruin the palpable feeling of relief and the promise for new beginnings. But the calms after storms are fickle things. Who knows how long this one will last? It’s a new age -- not perfect, but better.  - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! With Kingsley Shacklebolt as the Minister of Magic and reconstruction after the war complete, life is rather ordinary for the next generation of wizards and witches attending school at Hogwarts. That is, until they discover that the Triwizard Tournament has returned. With the introduction of twenty new students and the temporary hiatus of interhouse competition for Quidditch and House cups, the students must learn to cast aside their differences and work together while enjoying the differences that make everyone unique. In a world ravaged by war and uncertainty, hope is dawning. It's been nearly a year since Harry Potter vanquished the Dark Lord, Voldemort. Although the war has ended, families are still wounded by the deaths of loved ones. Student's educations are in shambles, and trust is a shaky thing. Everyone is putting their trust in Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. He is the beacon for order and peace in the still-dark wizarding world. But putting blind trust in one man, war-hero or not, isn't always a wise decision. Minister Shacklebolt has always had the best intentions for the wizarding world, but distrust is easily swayed to paranoia and in these uncertain days the war-hero Minister is more of a figure-head than anything else. |

Paris, France, 2010. Tourist trap and less French than the rest of France, despite being the capital, fair Paris is home to people of myriad walks of life, various backgrounds and diverse aspirations. Literally anyone could be there, and it is there that the Gnostikos––or simply, emotional vampires,––have decided to congregate.
Celebration, pilgrimage, court, or all three rolled into one, one thing is for sure: the Gnostikos will have something happen and they are not at all averse to sharing their brand of joy, most definitely with the unknowing humans.

It had been expected that with Voldemort gone, everything would be sunshine and flowers.
Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.
The new Minister of Magic, Arcturus Burke has certainly brought British wizarding society back onto the upswing after the war. Unfortunately, he has also imposed many restrictions on everyday life, with strict regulations preventing muggle contact with the wizarding world, curfews for muggleborns and harrassing raids on pureblood homes.
In opposition, Justin Finch-Fletchley set up a charity organization known as "Wizards for Muggles". Under that helpful front however, is a much more ominous agenda. Plan Equal is a recruitment agenda in which the WFM recruited halfbloods and muggleborns to woo specific purebloods in order to dilute pureblood blood lines. While many members of the WFM are not aware of the darker side to the organization, if the plan is discovered, many lives may be shattered and reputations ruined. What will the consequences of such a plan be? Exactly who is part of the plan? And what else is the WFM hoping to accomplish?
If that wasn't enough to contend with, the deatheaters who escaped the final battle and fled to rural areas of England have set up a neo-deatheater organization known as The Renegades, headed by Rodolphus Lestrange. So far their actions have stretched only as far as a few muggings and attacks on travelling muggles and muggleborn wizards. Recently, however, they have begun harassing recruitment strategies on members of wizarding society...
And on top of it all ...an ominous person "The Hunter" has started to kill pureblooded wizards and witches. No one can figure out who it is, why they're doing so, or who is going to be next...
