Fairytale Land :: A Fairytale RPG Fairytale Land, where the fairytales live out their lives, cycling over and over again as they are passed down through the ages. They would have called it Canada, but that was already taken. Anyway, in Fairytale Land, the endings are always happy, at least for the princes and fair maidens. Little do the inhabitants of Fairytale Land know, but all of this is thanks to a wizard, who keeps watch over the scales of good and evil. He keeps the scales balanced so that everything goes by the book and the endings are happy ones. The wizard is on vacation, however, and has left his assistants Mambo and Munk in charge. There's really no telling what will happen to the tales of the land now. Even if the scales were tipped to far for good the effects could be disastrous. FAIRYTALE LAND is a roleplaying game base on the Lionsgate film Happily N'Ever After, but don't let that fool you. The fairytales here are of your own interpretation. Would you like your Cinderella to have long blonde hair instead of the film's short brunette? Go right ahead. Sleeping Beauty is a redhead? No problem here. As long as the character is somewhat like the traditional we all know and hopefully love, anything is fine. Just be careful, because you never know when the scales will tip against you.

Welcome to the Endless Night – a monthly event held inside and on the grounds of a wealthy family estate in the hills of Hollywood. The existence of The Endless Night is highly rumored to be nothing more than urban legend to the less than informed; indeed, due to its exclusivity, it may as well be nothing more than rumor to most of the population in Los Angeles. This select, invite-only club is a gala affair for the wicked, featuring a black carpet leading into the house, an open bar with real absinthe, male and female go-go dancers, fetish players, and five stages with over twenty live bands performing every night. The privileged dark children of the City of Angels indulge in the evening of revelry and depravity until sunrise...

In the cold light of day, reality sets in. Bills and rent have to be paid, jobs have to be tended to, dreams have to be fruitlessly chased again, and the parties are reduced to nightly pilgrimages to the Rainbow on Sunset Blvd. with the rest of the has-been rockers of decades past. And get to work the remaining members of Angel Investigations did. Four heroes against a city run rampant with monsters of all shapes and sizes. When it was all said and done, the dragon was slayed. The others followed suit or fled for their lives. Gunn perished but Angel, Spike, and Illyria survived. The Senior Partners fell silent and the battle for control of Los Angeles was declared over at long last.

The city has begun to rebuild and people have returned to their daily lives since then. Yet, already plans are in motion to destroy the peace that has befallen the City of Angels. The Senior Partners are back, with a vengeance, and a plan they are certain will succeed. The Powers That Be have decided the time has come to mount a viable defense. Heroes and villains alike are arriving day and night. Some come with an understanding of what is to be expected. Some do not. And some are neither hero nor villain, but simply innocent pawns in a game where the rules are deadly and the winner, truly, can take it all. Now, only one question remains:

An AU social Future Era Harry Potter game

It is the year 2022. It has been 24 years since the fall of Voldemort on that fateful June night at Hogwarts, and although it took awhile to rebuild the Wizarding world to what it once was, the world has been stronger than ever. With the help of so many people that now were on the side of good, the Ministry was able to get up and working once again, under the watchful eye of their wonderful new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt.

And the little Wizarding school was able to go back to what it was put there for; teaching young Wizards and Witches how to be just that. They took in students from far and wide, different and alike, from Wizarding blood or Muggle blood. And the school grew and rebuilt itself to be the greatest school in History.

The Landing is a spot on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and spot built in the safe woods just on the edge of the Black Lake, far from Hagrid's Hut and the Black woods of the Forbidden Forrest, hidden from the sight of the feared Caretaker and the Headmaster and his Professors. It was built by mischief makers that had attended the school after the War, put there for the sole purpose of being a secret meeting spot for friends, groups, or couples, for any use from parties to plotting to just enjoying the evening sky. It hasn't been discovered yet, but the students are still careful. The only way to get to it is Invisibility cloak--which is rare--or the hidden passageway on the fourth floor back corridor, behind the statue of a dancing House Elf.

What if the Prophecy that made Harry Potter the 'Boy who lived' hadn't been given to the Dark Lord? What if a falsified Prophecy had been passed to him instead?

In 1980, Severus Snape overheard a prophecy about the person with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord. However, before he could hand over this knowledge to Voldemort- he was apprehended by Dumbledore. Knowing that Severus Snape could never betray Lily Evans, he convinced him not to pass on the Prophecy. Instead, using the knowledge that Severus Snape was an excellent Occlumens, they managed to create a false prophecy- one about the Dark Lord rising to power in the future, however, they don't say when. It is open ended, but the Dark Lord believes his only inside man at Hogwarts. He has no choice. Though he has been convicted of unspeakable crimes, he manages to disappear. He travels the world- studying anything he can in every country from Romania to Albania. Awaiting the day he will rise to ultimate power.

The terror stops. Lily and James Potter have their son, Harry James. The Wizarding World is at peace once more. This group of wizards that caused terror earlier seem to have disbanded. However, they are merely lying in wait. Only meeting in secret once every few years to see who has remained faithful- those who have not mysteriously 'disappear'. It is at the Qudditch World Cup when these blood supremacist decide to ultimately make themselves known. They attack the camp outside the stadium. They Auror's aren't quick enough to apprehend them. The only thing that's left is the horrible green mark hanging in the sky. While Tom Riddle is their ultimate suspect, they have no proof. He has not yet "Returned" from his study abroad.

When he does, Dumbledore is ready. The man who returns to Hogwarts to apply for the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor is charming, and brilliant. Dumbledore hires him on the spot- what better way to watch your enemy then by keeping them under your own roof? Dumbledore is certain that he will not run again, and if he is the one doing these terrible things, they will catch him at the school.

The year is 1995, When Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts. A few changes have been made to the staff over the summer, the most noticeable being the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; A Mr. Tom Marvolo Riddle. His new post is widely questioned by the wizarding world; The man has been convicted of murders throughout the seventies, why would Dumbledore hire him to teach young children? Dumbledore simply plays it off saying that he has applied "twice before". That he has not been able to be convicted of anything. Mr. Riddle has, after all, been studying abroad since the 1980's, and is very knowledgeable on his subject.

Harry Potter and Tom Riddle are about to cross paths, For neither can live while the other survives...

So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'.

It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time.

Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin...

Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team!

I have a couple of storylines that i would like to see filled:

JOHN OLIVER WEXLEY V - Johnny and Daphne have always been inseperable, but haven't spoken since she left home. Little does Daphne know that the person who is the real reason she had to fight in the Revolution really is her brother, her own flesh and blood. He told the authorities about Daphne's fiance, a Revolutionary, and had him arrested. But he only did it to protect her, and when she comes home, tired and ready to quit the Revolution, he welcomes her with open arms. ( I was thinking Heath Ledger or Jim Sturgess as the PB, but it's not necessary. )

ELLA CECILIA WEXLEY - Ella never really liked her older sister, having been ignored most of her life until Daphne disappeared. When Ella found out why her sister left, however, she felt love for her sister for the first time. Now, Ella tries to do what she can for her sister, keeping Daphne updated on her family and old friends. When she comes home, would Ella accept this, or go back to disliking her sister? ( I was thinking Jenna Malone for the PB but it's not necessary. )

Our Convictions is a post X-2 game, in which we spin a possible arc from the movie and make it into our own. We offer fun and excitement, which we are aiming at an audience who may have done movieverse games before, but we offer much more!

With over a week of planning, and discussing out possible plots and arcs, we wouldn't have done this game if we couldn't have a lot of room and plottage to act upon. This is definitely not like those other movieverse games where people just sit around the mansion. We are attempting something that could last for many months to come. It is truly sickening to think of how many games die within the first three weeks, but the mods here are trying to break that stereotype.

We're offering endless possibilities, which include both plot and character development! Ever wanted to introduce famous comic villains into the movieverse atmosphere? We have plans to do so - from the Dark Phoenix to Onslaught, to the Shadow King--we have months and months of planned plots for YOU.

With the broken mind of his only son as a tool, William Stryker gave the command. With a controlled Xavier by his side, the task was daunting…but not incredibly difficult. With a simple whisper, the deed had begun.

The world’s mutants were to be destroyed.

Stryker was not, however, unchallenged. To start the chaos at hand, a newly returned, and unbrainwashed, Cyclops was there to help. There was not much he could do. Five minutes... five minutes was all it took for 30% of the mutation population to be completely wiped out. It was up to Nightcrawler and Storm, the effects of Stryker‘s plan already pounding on their bodies, to teleport themselves into the Cerebro chamber, and put an end to the destruction...

Are you growing tired of all those Post War games that seem to be popping up left and right now that the seventh book has been released? This game will take you back - back to when there were games where plot was the centric focus and things weren't always happy. Instead, they were serious, dark, and unknown. At Snitched, Voldemort was never defeated that night when Hogwarts went under siege. In fact, that night has yet to occur because the Death Eaters arrived at Bill and Fleur's wedding and captured many key Order members and guests in attendance. Some died, but most were imprisoned or fled somewhere safe. Since that fateful night, Voldemort has gained innumerable strength to the point where he is unstoppable. He owns the Ministry and the Wizarding World. Secretly, he owns the Muggle world and part of Europe where the Death Eaters flourish.

Now that his reign is no longer contested, he has set about putting his plans into order. Muggleborns, Halfbloods, and those that are traitors to the cause are imprisoned. Some might be allowed out as slaves, providing of course that there are Death Eaters and purebloods who want them. Those that have yet to be caught are forced to flee and hide. Those that are still pureblooded are allowed to live neutrally amongst society. They are not forced to take the mark, but they are required to obey the new law - Voldemort's Law. Their loyalty must be unwavering - if they support another cause, then they must be absolutely mum about it. But word to the wise: Don't say Voldemort's name; the word itself will surely lead to the capture of those responsible no matter what their status in society.

This game is not for the faint at heart. There will be dark themes and happiness will only be found in hidden corners or alleyways. There are those who will fight, who want Voldemort's reign to end, but doing so will take time, tears, blood, and sacrifice.

Lacuna, a world shielded by its nebulous atmosphere and faith, groans for elucidation. At the start of the world, twelve celestial beings, the Aurelus, were said to have lived among man, teaching him all the virtue and knowledge passed down through millennia to current day, preparing him with all he required to thrive on the aurora-encapsulated sphere. For reasons never wholly clarified, five of the Aurelus betrayed their benevolent efforts to aid man with all that was considered good, and, ultimately, drove the twelve into civil war. The cataclysmic skirmish, the globe suffering near to the point of collapse, one day ended abruptly, as the twelve vanished without warning or closure to their conflict. From that point, man, having witnessed all, was left to take what he had gathered and do what he would with it. The years past, and the event fell to everything from a faith-varying in conduct and basis depending on interpretation-to nothing more than an old folk legend. In recent years, with the advance of technology and fervent curiosity of Lacuna's people, the question of all these beliefs awaits answers, and, though seldom do they know it, they are closer to the revelation they seek than they would imagine. Within the confines of Lacuna's swirling atmosphere, twelve of its dwellers will be called to give rise to that which has fallen below the scope of the inhabitants. A revival sits at the horizon, only a few ticks of the clock away from its dawn...

Aurelus and miscelaneous characters are being accepted currently.

Requirements:
We don't have many requirements, but one that's an absolute must is that you are active. We don't move at ludicrous speed, but we need players who are willing to keep up and post when they are needed.

The actual RPG will be conducted on a forum which accepted applciants will be invited to upon joining.

Newly opened, this is a community based around the "behind the rings" lives of the circus performers and crew of Circus! Circus! as they travel throughout the country, work and live with one another. Being with people in such close quarters is always a means for events to happen and like everyone else, they fall in love, form friendships, make enemies, raise families and enjoy what technology has to offer, among other things.
