Everyone is welcome to join, but must be open to dark plotting and dangerous events. The game will be begin September first, in game, and will played throughout the year. The focus of the game is not on the trio itself, which are nonplayable characters, but the lives of everyone else. Students will find themselves in a setting that will be frightening, emotionally painful, and hazardous to their health at times as the Death Eaters slowly take over the school. Adult characters will be suffering similar fates as laws become more restricting. The balance of order is shifting, will your character be able to survive the change? It's not so bad... being dead like me.
Welcome to San Revereld. Hate to break it to you, kid, but you’re dead. And the ones who aren’t dead, their time’s probably coming up real quick.
Here in San Revereld, we have two kinds of people running around. There’s those normal human kind, the living. We used to be like that once. And then there’s the undead, like us. We’re dead but we’re stuck. Look, you already went through the first four stages of death: you denied it, you got pissed, you tried bargaining for another chance, you were depressed about it…suck it up and accept it. We’ve got a job for you.
Your job, as an undead soul, is to be a grim reaper and collect souls. We assign the souls to you and you as the bringer of death have to collect them from the body. Otherwise, they’re just going to rot and waste. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. There are rules on this job. Rules, regulations, and a shitload of changes you’re going to have thrown at you. Think you can handle it?

And get to work the remaining members of Angel Investigations did. Four heroes against a city run rampant with monsters of all shapes and sizes. When it was all said and done, the dragon was slayed. The others followed suit or fled for their lives. Gunn perished but Angel, Spike, and Illyria survived. The Senior Partners fell silent and the battle for control of Los Angeles was declared over at long last.
The city has begun to rebuild and people have returned to their daily lives since then. Yet, already plans are in motion to destroy the peace that has befallen the City of Angels. The Senior Partners are back, with a vengeance, and a plan they are certain will succeed. The Powers That Be have decided the time has come to mount a viable defense. Heroes and villains alike are arriving day and night. Some come with an understanding of what is to be expected. Some do not. And some are neither hero nor villain, but simply innocent pawns in a game where the rules are deadly and the winner, truly, can take it all. Now, only one question remains:

What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather? Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. | Quick Teaser. The island of Niihau is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. Family owned, but uninhabited since the late 1960's. The Anderson family had purchased it in the 40's to open a school for Wayward Girls and Boys. But lack of funds closed the doors in 1968 and the island had been uninhabited ever since. This resorted in the island being taken over by the native Hawaiian wildlife. Now it's 2008 and the island is fixed up and the school is running once again. The rules are strict, but it's only to help the teenagers better their life, and its pure genius being on an island far away from any place, and not way and no where to run. |

At the northern reaches of the New York metropolitan area, nestled in the state's scenic Orange County, Mercury Falls was founded 1685. Traditional, the residents pride themselves on the peaceful normality of the town. However, not everyone sees this as a good thing. Children, growing and graduating, move on to what they see as bigger and better things. With nothing to bring in new blood, Mercury Falls, having celebrated its tricentennial and then some, seemed to have been given a "use-by" date.
Mercury Falls High, once the pride of the town, was now decidedly average. In sports, they were win some, lose some. In academics, they fell comfortably somewhere in the middle of the achievement continuum. At least, that had always been the status quo, until about a year ago. The election of the new mayor brought about change. In the high school, grades started rising steadily, new classes were introduced and the Panthers had never had a better season. Grant money is rolling in and with it, new families and life. The town is once again flourishing, but for a troubling trend among certain students. As much as the town would like to deny and ignore it, at a disturbing rate, students are disappearing - going missing, committing suicide, running away.

| A deep secret; a mystery. A secret and powerful essence or remedy; an elixir. Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, was hailed as the great champion who would save the wizarding world from Lord Voldemort. He did his best; he sought and destroyed all the horcruxes he could find before he came face to face with Lord Voldemort in the Great Battle, on 31 July 1998. Many fell in the fight and both sides were all but destroyed. Harry Potter lay dead on the battlefield and Lord Voldemort had vanished. It seemed that victory, though bought at a terrible price, had come at last. Even as they grieved their fallen champion, the wizarding world began to rebuild from the ashes. What they did not know was that Harry Potter had failed. One horcrux yet remained. And it remains still, nine years later, though none are any closer to uncovering where, or what, it is. A new generation has come to Hogwarts under the guardianship of Headmistress McGonagall, while outside the castle, the wizarding world's rebuilding efforts are ever being thwarted and interrupted by mysterious disappearances, deaths and other ominous misfortunes. The Death Eaters have returned and made their presence known; the wizarding world is in fear. Voldemort is on the rise once more, but there is no Harry Potter to save them this time. The Order now works diligently to seek out the final horcrux, hoping to find it before Lord Voldemort's followers. Arcanum is canon-compliant through Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but it diverges from the end of book 6 into an Alternate Universe. The game is set in the year 2007 and is played in a delayed-time format with an emphasis on third-person narrative threading. All canon characters are NPCs; Arcanum is original characters only. The game is plot and character driven and has a dark war-based plot. We are seeking active, creative players who wish to extend the story of the wizarding world beyond the books we know and love. |
