AGATHON ACADEMY was established circa the 1850s by a small group of parents looking for an alternative method of education to what was provided be local private and public schools. Located just outside of Athens, Georgia, the academy quickly grew from classes of five to classes of twenty. What began as a small project on a plot of land owned by one of the founding members, Cassius "Kissing" Agathon, soon became a large and well-facilitated academy with a nearly nonexistent drop-out rate and an incredible reputation. The school is very well known for producing Ivy League students, but also for the wealth of artistic talents that walk through its doors.
THE SYMPOSIUM is a game focusing on the lives of reincarnated characters from Plato's Symposium, from Achilles to Diotima to Orpheus to Plato himself. Whether it's Socrates and Aristophanes bickering in the hallways, Apollodorus telling anyone who will listen what happened at Admetus' party (including his girlfriend Alcestis), or Aeschylus wondering aloud what exactly Patroclus and Achilles get up to after lights out, there's always something happening in Athens. Georgia, that is.
