RP: Ron/Hermione Who: Ron & Hermione When: 27th Feb, 2009 Where: Ron's office at the Ministry What: Processing what's happened
Ron had messaged Hermione, asking her to take lunch in his office, and had asked Maisy to keep everyone else out. He'd inherited her officially from Harry now, and while she was distraught about Harry's death, she was as efficient as ever. Added to that, Ron didn't have Harry's reluctance to tell people to fuck off if they hadn't scheduled an actual appointment, and also people weren't as insistent upon taking up his time as they had been about talking to Harry Potter. So, despite the general chaos and sense of mourning in the department, Ron found he could keep a pretty steady schedule as long as there were no emergencies to tend to.
At the appointed time, Maisy let Hermione in and then closed the door behind them. Ron had seen Hermione only for a few moments at a time since the attack, and never long enough to really talk about anything. Not that there was much to talk about; now that there was time Ron found he couldn't think of anything to say. Instead, he crossed and pulled Hermione into a hug, holding on a long time until finally letting go.
"Are you going to Draco's later?" he asked, the only thing he could think of to ask. "Do...do you think there's any chance what he's working on will work?"
