The reckless abandonment of clothes had not quite caught Edric yet; instead, he wandered around the beach behind Rudy, collecting garments where they fell and depositing them all in a neat pile, mostly folded. He fell into the sand beside the pile, only his toes bare and buried, ignoring Rudy's basking in the sunset in favour of the now normal-sized bottle. He was calm, not nearly as touched by the alcohol as Rudy was then, and wasn't particularly worried about a family out on picnic encountering Rudy's bare bottom. The only problem was, if Edric was going to match Rudy's drunkenness on the beach, they would need glasses and, if Edric recalled correctly, sugar. He leaned back to dig in the pockets of Rudy's clothes, bottle stuck in the sand between his legs, certain that he would find a whole selection of candies that would make for a good substitute. As he did, he caught sight of Rudy through the bottle, skin bare and glowing from the sinking sun, tinged green, and started to laugh.
