Imogen and OPEN
It was a nerve-wracking event. It was Imogen's first official public outing on Griffin's arm, and she was a bundle of nerves, trying to ignore the pressure on her but not able to. Ever since her conversation with Nic and the days she'd spent at Griffin's home she'd been more aware of the looks she got when they were together, and the snarky letters she'd been receiving. She still hadn't told Griffin about them, though she knew she should. She just didn't want to worry him. Running the faction was stressful enough, especially after the Muggle attack, and besides, they were just a few letters.
Dressed much nicer than she normally would have been for such an event, Imogen took comfort in being by Griffin's side. He put her at ease while setting butterflies loose in her stomach all at the same time. It was brilliant and terrifying and made her excited for what was to come.
Halfway through her plate, she emptied her cup of juice and excused herself to get a refill, kissing Griffin's cheek as she rose from her seat next to him. At the drink table, she refilled her glass and stood for a moment, watching him sitting next to Harry. She smiled absently, enjoying the sight.
